Seems like your keyboard suffers as well... Try checking for CPU/memory usage on your system with taskmgr or ps. Maybe your system got infected somehow.

use v19.x instead. v20 is broken anyway.
"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself. It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate

I have the same problem. VBA uses about 50% CPU power and still lags, the sound chops constantly. The problem is the same on v19, v20, and the new v21. I have tried: 1.7.2 re-recording v19.2 1.7.2 re-recording v20.0 1.7.2 re-recording v21 (which btw still says V20 in the About box) I am running Vista Home Premium, SP 1. Computer is a 2GHz AMD dualcore with 4GB ram. Should be plenty enough for VBA... I can supply logs or whatever else needed if it is wanted.

Things that came into mind: * Rewind settings: it shouldn't cause a problem, but worth checking if enabled. * Pixel Filter settings: same as above. * VSync: reportedly causing slowdown in some cases. * Rendering Method: I have no idea, honestly, but someone reported it caused slowdowns on an very old machine with D3D. ** Simply removing the old configuration file may work. * AMD Dual-Core Patch: yeah, only for WinXP, Vista shouldn't need it. You didn't install it, did you? [/silly question] BTW, you may feel like checking out the latest build of VBA-rr, it should be r85 right now.
<klmz> it reminds me of that people used to keep quoting adelikat's IRC statements in the old good days <adelikat> no doubt <adelikat> klmz, they still do
