Anyone has simple "Stepped" guide for best quality encoding? I would love to get a simplified version of THIS, and I would love to start encoding right away. The only problem I have is that how you can insert subtitles in movie? I have VirtualDub1.72

In virtualdub, use the subtitle filter: http://www.virtualdub.org/downloads/subtitler-2_4.zip (unzip and put in virtualdub/filters folder) And use a program such as SSA (sub station alpha) to create the subtitles: http://www.tdfast.com/software/download/SSAinstall.exe

I have all the filters, and subtitle workshop 4, subtitle creation is not the problem, but how can I add the subtitles permanently into the video? And the "Making AVI"-sites are still too random. I would like to see something like this: 1. Record AVI from FCEU. 2. Put it into virtualdub. 3. blah blah blah... Like most simplified encoder guidelines.
