I noticed this really improves the music for some games, but what does it do exactly? And why is it that when you dump music with the feature turned on, the music still comes out like in the original? If it is developed more, I suggest allowing users to change which instrument is used for each channel, since some games end up having a bass sound for the melody lead or for the echo effect on the lead.

I'm not sure what it does in Dega, but in Gens the "improved psg" option changes the PSG from square waves to sine waves, which is inaccurate emulation. I suspect that what Dega does is different, but still a form of inaccurate emulation (and therefore disabled during AVI dumps)
