qFox, that was the one i remembered as well. it was such a neat little thing and i was too young to understand what the hell it was (let alone comprehend glitch). no one believed me and i could never get it to work again. likewise, would this make for an interesting time attack? i mean, you'd be small as hell AND have fire power. i cant remember if breaking blocks was something you could do or not. i wanna see phil and genisto's new SMB movie right now. oh, and BTW, HOLY CRAP! my DL speed is like 200+ KB. damn... thats... WOW. what else... well, the Metal Gear glitches were fun at first but by the time i tried a time-attack, they were no longer interesting... felt more like it was suppose to be a part of the game than an actual glitch.

the most impressive glitch i've ever seen for a speedrun is getting into the ceiling using the magnet beam in mega man, that simply made the run insanely good and fast.

Seriously. That entire run is chock full of crazy awesome glitches. It's one of my favorites on this site.

mockball glitch? My favorite glitch was Select Button Warp in Zelda: Link's Awakening, i use it like almost all the time.

Well, I'm a bit torn. The new glitch discovered in Ninja Gaiden 2 is at the top of the list - it really makes for some astounding gameplay. That and all the impressive stuff you can do with SMB1 - it's incredible that the oldest game can still surprise you. But I think I'm gonna have to go with Walker Boh's "Air-Walk" glitch in Rygar. First of all, it opens up the game so there's nowhere you can't go before you're supposed to. Furthermore, when used in consort with the warp glitch, a game that should take about an hour can be beaten in under 10 minutes. And finally, it opens you up to go places you aren't supposed to go at all (shake hands with an Indora). It gets my vote.

I always like small glitches that can be abused in a big way rather than big glitches that can just be abused in a small way. So at least one of my favorites is the "glitch" that enables one to reach the final area in Metroid really early on. Although the only "glitch" part is getting the enemy into the room, the rest is just clever use (abuse?) of intended game code. I also like the "jump into solid wall and walk through it" trick in Super Mario 1/2j. I just find it to be funny in a ridiculus way.
