I nominate the future to-be-published LoZ:OoT TAS for a lifetime vaporware award: Everyone has been expecting it for like forever, and everyone knows it's coming (some time in the distant future) and everyone knows it will be awesome. This future TAS practically obsoleted the currently published TAS before it was even published. Like all good vaporware, also demos of this one have been shown from time to time, but it has yet to reach gold status (probably for a long, long time).

Any SM-related TAS activity from both me and Saturn also qualify.

How about the Secret of Mana run? Or the Mario Kart 64 run? Those too qualify, if I understand the "vaporware" concept correctly.

I nominate Sami's Banjo-Kazooie run. Unlike our other nominees, Sami has been blue-balling us with tantilizing WIPs coupled with mysterious sabbatical periods. I actually think he has all this planned out. It's all in the numbers, man ;)

Donkey Kong for the Gameboy would count if anyone aside from myself and jimsfriend were interested in it. XD

atma wouldn't forgive me if I didn't nominate his LoZ:Minish Cap run, which has been in the not-making for two years now. Actually, the oldest WIP I could find is dated 2. January 2007. <3 atma

This may be a little unorthodox, but I would like to nominate my improved gens movie format which has been right around the corner since 2007.

I nominate the TAS of Duke Nukem Forever. I mean it's been the hottest thing to TAS since Rockman and SMB, but despite the tantalizing screens we get handed once in a while, we never do see something complete. So Vaporware, it was Vaporware before Bisqwit even created the first site, but everyone still talks about it in secret! Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I nominate a TAS made by myself. I know everyone has been expecting one since, like, forever; they won't admit it.

Saturn's Super Metroid Redesign TAS (Actually, even at the rate Saturn is releasing the WIPs, I'd be willing to bet that the run will be released before any of the other ones in this thread :P )

Easily predictable for one simple reason: Copying a existing run is the only way to not get pwned by it. I'm pretty sure this will apply to other SM runs I plan to do as well. :-)
