When I'm starting the game, it pop up a window there it stands: "Direct3D failed to intialize your HAL device make sure you have a proberly configured 3D graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0" And after that Super Mario 64 starts and there is only sound.. the rest is black.. btw we restarted the system on our computer. Before we did.. it worked. I'm really sorry if this problem is already on the forum. (Sorry for bad english)

Your processor, graphics card, etc. Also you might want to redownload the plugins in case some settings are messing with it

For Windows computers, DirectX is a graphics library that helps applications draw on your screen. Try this, go to Start->Run, and type in dxdiag. After that opens up, on the main page near the bottom there is a "DirectX Version:" label and next to it is your version of DirectX, tell us that. Then, go to the Display tab and tell us everything near the top.

Well it's the information I wanted. But not so good to hear =| Might be that you have an integrated graphics card? Does you computer have a name, like Dell XPS 600, Acer 6920G, HP, etc?

Well, if it has integrated graphics, and a pentium 4, it is probably the intel i915, which my desktop has. It's not really that good at n64 emulation, and the only plugins that work are jabo 1.6 and rice iirc.

But before we restarted the system evry plugin that I've tried worked..

Make sure all the settings are at low then, hope for the best. I can't think of anything that would make it go from working to not working just by restarting =|

Did you happen to change the driver or something then restarted and it loaded the new driver?

the driver for your integrated graphics card; I remember that once I found I couldn't see 3D graphics in DeSmuME and it turned out to be because I had trusted Windows Update to provide me with the latest drivers. You should rely on the manufacturer or a *good* third party.
