Ok, I am going to start a new Tin Star topic, I believe that this topic should be locked, correct me if I'm wrong.

This is an outrage! It will not let me start another topic! I hope that the reason isn't because of my link I tried to post on. When you upload the video in the Microstorage, do you copy that and then put it on your post? Cause that's what I did.

You absolutely can't start a new topic at all, even with a new title? I just copy whatever link Microstorage gives when I upload the file. Generally, my links look a bit like this This points to my E.V.O. TAS I disabled BBCode in this post so the actual tags show up. If yours look exactly like this, I can't really guess as to what's going on. Last resort is to disable HTML and BBCode in your posts. If you still can't start a new thread, maybe even convert this topic into a new Tin Star thread, possibly editing the first post to reflect this change. Even if things become inconvenient, at least you've got a way to show us what you've been doing. I don't see how the site can fail when you insist on plain text after disabling HTML and BBCode.

Or make a new post in this thread which would serve as first post of the new thread and ask a moderator to split it.
Gone.

I tried everything. A new title, the suggestions that you told me, there's nothing I can do. I bet its my emulator, even on this topic, I tried a simple link but but it keeps on saying Debug Mode.

no, a simple link wouldn't cause that kind of error; it's an SQL error IMO

Maybe I should redo my TAS.

Negative. I redid my TAS, that didn't work either. I might as well just wait and see what happens. In the meantime though, I will try to get it done, then if it's fixed, I will send you my video that I've been working on. Wait just a second, when I clicked on preview then clicked on my link, a window appeared and said, "File name is missing an extensions or extension is invalid. Please beat the creator of this link upside the head." Anybody know what the crap that means? Edit Also I think you should know this, my "all posts" window is in Debug Mode on my own profile!

You've obviously able to post here talking about your problem. Since you're having troubles just linking it, I'll try to come up with an even more inconvenient solution, but one that hopefully does something. I take it you're trying to use Microstorage now. It provides a number in the URL when you upload a file. Copy that number here, and I'll play around with a few things. From the impression I get of what the site says, I can put in any filename I want after the /info/#######/ part. Keep the same extension it says, probably .smv of course. If I'm successful in my attempt, I will try to link to it here. If met with further success, then I will ask you to quote my post and nothing else, and see if that triggers any problems. Then again, I'm not even sure if what I'm thinking will even come close to working, or even make any sense.

Thanks FatRatKnight, but I'm doing something right now so this could take a while. And I will only do the first level this time, to make things quick.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/724681851/Tin_Star.smv Hey, I actually did it! Looks like I won't be needing that help after all. Hope you'll enjoy this. Edit Also, the Tin Star forum is fixed now.

Honestly, ITT you've been acting like a little kid who thought his parents divorced because he was misbehaving.

Um, the savestate you posted is only like 2 seconds long Captain. Did you try playing it back yourself before posting it? Here is one of my old save states, try downloading it and playing it. Notice that on the download screen it says the movie starts from 'Reset' and not another Save State. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/764/Tinstar.smv

Here's what I've got so far. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1941289331/Tin%20Star.smv I still haven't solved the mystery of how to resume recording after you've stopped. The emulator resources page didn't help me.

Load your ROM and your .smv file (read+write, but back it up first). As soon as you load a savestate (from that game and run, obviously), it will resume recording from just that frame. If you don't have any savestates from recording that run anymore, just advance to the run's last frame, save and load again and you'll continue from that point on.

Will it show the frame counts? Annnd do you have to do something after you load the savestate to resume recording, or does it just does it by itself?

It shows the frame counter if you set the setting to do so. Iirc it will resume recording only if you've actually loaded the correct run for that savestate.
