Post subject: New layout-- resolution problem

I am writing this from a public terminal, and I noticed that on the 15 inch LCD here that the names of the movies run into the screenshots on the left. Needless to say, on my monsterous CRT at home this does not happen, but here it just makes it look unreadable. Might not be anything to care about, but the fix might be simple if the text is made to wrap if the resolution used is too small.
Has never colored a dinosaur.

Was able to replicate it. Seems to happen at several resolutions, and only in IE. Note that the effect was even worse on the other computer. "on the left" was a bad description, but you can see what I mean. Admin can feel free to resize if you know a way to do it gracefully...

Not every public terminal (actually, very few of them) will have granted you access to a browser that is not Internet Explorer. But for home use, yes, IE is rather undesirable.

That's a bit outdated by now, because it pre-dates the arrival of IE7 and Firefox 3, and as IE8 rises to prominence and IE6 is used on fewer and fewer computers (goodbye Windows 2000) the situation should be even better.

Perhaps. Ps: Do not fullquote, especially for posts containing images. It brings no value to readers to have the image repeated in two consecutive posts.

I find this rather ironic: One huge goal of public terminals is to make them safe, so that random users won't be able to make harm to the system. And IE is quite notorious for not being very safe. Yet IE is usually the only browser ever used in public terminals. Talk about defeating the whole purpose...

Like I said, might not be worth caring about as it seems to only happen in easily avoided situations, but I just thought you might like to know. I'm not sure I ever really got to say it, but I really do like the appearance of the new layout. I think it turned out rather well.

IE7 sucks at CSS, it's as simple as that; IE6 and earlier were worse, IE8 is better, but they are all terrible at it.
