This is my very first TAS I have ever created, which I admit isn't even close to being a good choice. The reason I picked this game is because no one has attempted to TAS it before, so I decided to go for something new. Whether this run is published or rejected, I do not care, I just want to here your comments on what you thought about my movie.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: SNES9X v1.51
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Genre: Platforming
There is no need to explain any of the stages, all of them are pretty repetitive and linear. As for bosses, there may be some certain points on when and where you have to hit the bosses. That goes for all of them too.
The only improvements I can see in this run is probably just more optimized movement, but that is as far as I'm concerned.
Hope you enjoy it.

mmbossman: Rejecting for several reason: 1) It breaks the Rules, as it uses the PAL version when an NTSC version is readily available; 2) It is a very simple and repetitive game, which has very little action; and 3) Despite this, there are some parts that look to be somewhat sloppy, with large losses in speed (the first two sections of stage 2, for example). Good luck with your next attempt, and please read the rules prior to starting.

I have to say, it was pretty boring. The levels were repetitive to the point that it looked like the same obstacles over and over when I fast forwarded through, and the gameplay was just hold right and jump/shoot when appropriate. You probably could've done something a little more interesting during the boss fights as well. You really should've picked a better game, there's plenty of games that haven't been run yet that are much more TAS worthy than this.

It seems like you experienced a lot of unnecessary landing lag from jumping too high. Sometimes it seemed like there wasn't any when you jumped right after landing. Is this always the case, or only sometimes? For the final boss, were you able to manipulate it to throw its hat earlier? The times between seemed to vary greatly.

To be honest, I wasn't thinking of luck manipulation during the process of this movie. I'll try to keep that in mind once I improve it after I do another game. And the jumping, that was stupid of me to miss, I'll keep that in mind too.
