Hi. I was checking out http://tasvideos.org/719M.html 'cause I ran across an old movie on my harddrive and when I tried to seed, I got the error "Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker". This is what I have: SNES Super Mario World (USA) in 10:28.7 by Fabian (?) & JXQ (?). Download AVI file via BitTorrent (size: 39 MB, length: 15:48) (currently unavailable) Is the error temporary or permanent?.. should I keep trying or remove the torrent from my list? /LTar

It is not an error. Video files of obsoleted movies aren't seeded, only the key input files are available. I believe it is done as a means of preserving disk space.

Well.. the torrent seems to exist or the message would've said that it's not registered at the tracker; that's why I'm asking. Also, even though there is a faster run available, this one contains certain tricks that have been replaced in the new one - that might be a reason to want the movie. So, is the torrent going to be enabled again or not (if anyone knows)?

It's most likely not, just as any other torrent of an obsoleted movie. You have two options: watch the key input file on an emulator, or watch it online following the link on that page (where it says "watch online").

The torrent doesn't exist on the tracker. You may be assuming the error messages of a certain, uh, "brand" of tracker while we use another.

Thanks for the answers. I do have the emulator files and the avi versions (of several runs), and I'll keep both. Have a nice day. :)

Actually, originally I meant it as a means to signal all distributers that a newer version of the movie is available, and that the old is now considered "obsolete". Nowadays I keep it for yes, disk space preserving reasons, and to dedicate the autoseeder's resources for better use.
