I don't know anything about those games, are they for SNES or PC, or what? I've only played the original NES game myself. I'll search for them and see if I can get them. EDIT: They seem to be for PSX and PS2. It's possible to record PSX games with a certain plugin, but I'm not sure about sound recording. Plus, that GPU plugin is buggy and inaccurate. I'd rather play the NES version so I can also make it an impressive run with Famtasia.

It's also on GameCube, but the A and B buttons are switched around for some unfathomable reason, so I can't quite recommend it.

I am a big Minibosses fan. I went to see them when they came to Brooklyn last year.

Cool :D Would love to see 'em live. Was it lots of other nerds there? :D I've seen two live musicvideos of 'em, (megaman 2 and contra) Do you know where I can get more?

OCRemix, my two favorites. Terra in Black. Journey to Thor.
My top three are: Mega Man 4 LetThereBeLight OC ReMix and Zelda 3 TheDarknessAndTheLight OC ReMix and Never mind I like so many of them. I can't choose my top three! But I definitely recommend downloading those two. I have (according to iTunes) 1.2 days worth of Oc ReMixes. I'm kinda obsessed :D

The Neskimos have some really good Megaman 3 song renditions. I think that game's compositions really have a lot of remixing potential.

Yeah, but the games who has the greatest music imo are: Megaman 2, Castlevania and Megaman X

I think in terms of most people, if you hum the theme to Mario Bros everybody will recognize it. And after all, that's all an artist wants: recognizability.

Actually, even though I think most MM2 songs are better than the MM3 soundtrack, I just think that remixing MM3 songs is better. They seem to have potential for this sort of thing. Too bad there aren't that many.

This is only somewhat related, but have you guys heard of The Protomen? They're this band out of Nashville that has created a rock opera about Mega Man. It's kind of rooted in 80's arena rock, with a little bit of a modern twist as well. Their live show is amazing. They take a few liberties as far as the story goes, but it's still pretty entertaining.

Mhh some non-Japanese coverages I can remember so far: Anamanaguchi, Megadriver, Electro Static Discharge, Game Over, Powerglove, Project X, Repliforce and Stemage. There also exists numerous (hundreds of) doujin artists from Japan, some that are good or known and I do remember at the moment: Mintjam (Rock etc), Crow'sclaw (heavy, rock etc.), Aether (Secret of Mana 2 coverages), FMPSG (Coverages with Sega soundchip), Magical Trick Society (Heavy, Rock etc.), S.S.H (Heavy, Rock etc.), ALiCE'S EMOTiON (doujin circle, hardcore, techno etc.), Alstroemeria Records (doujin circle, hardcore, techno etc.), Angelic Quasar (doujin circle, hardcore, techno etc.), C.H.S (doujin circle, mostly t+pazolite's stuff, hardcore, techno etc.), dBu music (doujin circle, heavy rock, techno etc.), IOSYS (doujin circle, random, techno ), SOUND HOLIC (doujin circle, hardcore, techno etc.), TAMUSIC (doujin circle, mostly violin and piano based stuff) and Many hundreads of different artists

^ Wow, we are VERY much alike in our tastes. Edit: And that 10 minute megaman2 thing didn't have Metalman's theme, so it sucks (not really, but I was very disappointed, I love metalman. >_<)

Thank your for mentioning this album! I got it right after I saw your post here (I love rock operas and Mega Man :P), but never really cared about it... Until a few days ago, when I started to listen to it again more carefully. I've got to say it is a really really good album, and a must-listen for any Mega Man fan. It's almost the only album I've been listening to lately, as you can see on my Last.fm profile. It's also possible to play the songs for free there, if anyone cares about it.
You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

I like the NESkimos a lot more than Minibosses. They've made some amazingly good covers of NES songs.
