http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/291793757/Breath%20of%20Fire%20II%20%28U%29.smv back on the bird. I've gained about 10% of what I fell behind the original run. Dare is very useful...

Could you please remind me what version of Snes9x you are using? I can get the run to play but somehow using turbo to speed things up a little from time to time freezes the emulator for me. Anyway, I'm glad to see things are progressing so nicely, good work!!

IST: are you using the settings in the movie file (in particular sync sound) on a multicore cpu? If you are, and you're using the standard version of 1.43 (any improvement version up to 16 will also have the same problem), that will cause it to freeze/crash at a random point in time. Head here and grab the svn version linked on that page. It should sync fine and not crash on that version.

I had to cook again http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1936197327/Breath%20of%20Fire%20II%20%28U%29.smv and it was worth it! I cut 9,5K frames from the previous cooking run. I got lucky inside the queen edit : and that's almost 11k frames behind the original run

Watched this run and was very impressed. The cooking clearly doesn't add much time overall, but it is boring to watch them run around the kitchen. One thing though, is it necessary to go to wildcat's twice? Can you get chopchop the same time you go to get the ring? Looking forward to seeing this done all the way. In my opinion this game has one of the best RPG storylines and a lot of the plot elements are incredibly profound.

according the the FAQs I read, I must get it before going to simafort Besides, I'm next to it when I get the dragons . But I might give it a try...

As I recall, you can't get ChopChop while or after going for the ring. It has to be before, else you can forget about it.

Because the restaurant is so close to the waterfall, getting Chopchop only costs about 10 seconds, but it's not used that many times. However, in order to do enough damage without it, Katt would probably need to buy a BronzeST in Simafort. Currently janus doesn't have enough cash to do this, and by not fighting Wildcat first he won't even have enough for the IronKN. However, the SokletAR in the waterfall room sells for 1800Z, and takes probably... one second to get and another to sell, leaving 8 for Chopchop to make up on its own (480 frames). ...Hope I didn't just make more work for you D:

to save time, i need chop chop for the uparupa; it counters any attack. I think the Worm does too. Using spells (even with Sten) uses more frames PLus, since I don't level up, I'm not sure Katt can do decent damage

After thinking about it, i'm not sure I will start back to go at wild cat's only once... Just for the kuwadora fight, it would take more time because katt could probably not be able to do enough damage
