Wasn't the skin condiction caused by exposure to UV. I've seen footage where had to use an umbrella to shade himself from the sun on hot days.

Actually, if you lost your melanin, you would become very sensitive to ultraviolet light; IMO he was scared of skin cancer.

To be honest, I'm not even going to begin on all that is wrong with American Law, but considering how trigger happy the D.A's are with serious crime yet they were unable to even bring him to criminal trial, only one of the most frivolous civil cases I have ever seen. It kind of speaks for itself that they never had anything on him. It's the perfect example of media circus ruining someone's reputation; anyone (with some basic legal knowledge) reading that case report would be stunned that it caused such a big deal, no evidence, few witnesses none of which were credible, and that's not even mentioning the extortion involved. He may have been many things, but he was certainly not a pedophile.

Actually IIRC the prosecution majorly fucked up so a bunch of evidence was inadmissible...however, OJ did lose a wrongful-death suit, which has a lower burden of proof (preponderance of the evidence) than a murder trial (beyond a reasonable doubt). Also from what I heard about Jackson, the reason he liked to be around children so much is that he felt like a child inside too, as evidenced by his choice of accoutrements for his mansion.

There was no reason why he [Jackson] had to stop calling me...I picked the nastiest son of a bitch I could find [Evan Chandler's lawyer, Barry Rothman], all he wants to do is get this out in the public as fast as he can, as big as he can and humiliate as many people as he can. He's nasty, he's mean, he's smart and he's hungry for publicity. Everything's going to a certain plan that isn't just mine. Once I make that phone call, this guy is going to destroy everybody in sight in any devious, nasty, cruel way that he can do it. I've given him full authority to do that. Jackson is an evil guy, he is worse than that and I have the evidence to prove it. If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever...Michael's career will be over
Yeah, that's what any cool father would say and Mike was totally guilty... But well... for some reason, it's only natural for gifted people to live a tortured life. EDIT: Footage of the trial

Actually in his own autobiography he writes that he had two rhinoplastic surgeries and the surgical creation of a cleft in his chin. There is evidence of more than two rhinoplastic surgeries, though. By 1990 people close to him estimated he had undergone ten operations on his face.

Apparently insiders before the People Vs Jackson trial in 2005 thought there was little chance of the trial being successful. They're probably the most highly uncredible prosecution witnesses I've ever come across.

Funny, Fabian, I wasn't aware you were present in the court room when all the evidence was presented. Oh that's right, you weren't! Tell me, is there any more evidence to your side than the fact that somebody accused him of it? And is it at all possible that the accuser was lying in order to try to sue for millions of dollars? Doesn't it seem at all odd to you that they sued instead of pressing criminal charges? If not, then you, Fabian, must be a witch. BURN THE WITCH! Wait I mean COMMUNIST Wait I mean PEDOPHILE BURN THE PEDOPHILE!

Not an evidence by itself, but wtf with that neverland... Just because of that anyway you wont remove people suspicions, if he was so much troubled about that (what people think...), he wouldnt had transform it in a amusement park mostly used by ... kids Also it doesnt matter if he got realy condamned or whatever, clearly like stated above OJ wasnt

He behaved oddly and he liked to hange out with children. That doesn't make him a pedophile. He was never found guilty, so unless you were present when he molested a kid you have no way of knowing, and there is plenty of reasonable doubt. And people who go around saying they know for sure that somebody raped/murdered/whatever horrible thing, when there's no evidence at all except somebody else's accusation really make me sick. Michael Jackson's career and life were ruined because everybody was "sure" he was a pedophile, even though nobody ever showed any evidence for it. Could he have been a pedophile, of course. But he also could have been not a pedophile. And now that he's dead, only Jordan Chandler knows the truth. Anybody else can shut the fuck up.

No of course it doesnt make him pedophile, it just happen to be the reason why you wont be able to remove the doubt in some people mind He could have remove the doubt, simply by behave more "resonably", i dont think it realy hurted him that much on that matter, i mean, if it was to do again i think neverland would still be there, and some people would still be suspecious...

The point is that doubt is not proof, and our legal system assumes you are innocent unless proven otherwise. Hanging out with children a lot is circumstantial evidence, no more; certainly not enough to say "Yes, he was a pedophile".

Upthorn, based on your post it sounds like you believe only one child was (supposedly, if you prefer) molested by MJ. True or false? Also, if you had to guess, how likely do you believe it is that MJ ever did anything inappropriate, sexually, in the presence of children?

I do understand that there were two separate occasions where charges against MJ were brought, by two different families. However, in light of the fact that the second family was engaged in fraud in various other aspects, I find it very unlikely that their accusations had any merit whatsoever. And since their child has almost certainly died of his cancer by now, Jordan Chandler is the only person left alive who could know the truth. As for the likelihood that MJ ever did anything sexual in the presence of children... eh, it's possible. If he did do it, it was with Jordan Chandler. I sincerly doubt he would have settled with the Chandler family for the ~$20 million dollars unless they had something on him. However, the fact that they were willing to settle, and not press criminal charges, makes me highly doubtful that their child was actually physically molested or harmed.

The fact is that in modern society children are the epitome of innocence and purity who are completely unable of doing anything wrong (eg. lie) and who are revered and protected as holy semi-gods. If a child, who by this dogma is completely unable to lie, accuses someone of molesting him, that's all the proof of guilt society needs. Even if legal courts are forced to free the accused because of the letter of the law, in the eyes of the public the accused will always be guilty. After all, there was unrefutable proof: The word of someone who is physically unable to tell lies or do anything wrong. (Of course this wouldn't be the first time children have been coached to lie, deliberately or by mistake. There have been corroborated cases of this.)

Overall, I think the public's dealings with MJ are bullshit. Where were the fans when he was accused of being a pedophile? Most were not supporting him, either by agree he is a pedophile or choosing to just not care. Now that he is gone, people are bending over to suck this musical master's cock, wishing he was still alive and saying how great of a person/musical artist he was. Nothing like being two-faced douche-bags. Whether this was anyone in the thread or not, I don't fucking care. I find it ridiculous regardless.

Well, the memorial service is going on today. Not like you couldn't know, because it's on almost EVERY FRICKEN CHANNEL. I've never seen this much coverage on anybody's memorial service, like, ever. Seriously...one or two channels, fine. On 90% of my channel lineup? That's overkill, thank you.

He also made the music for Sonic CD. Compare Collision Chaos Zone and Scream.
