Post subject: Fraps, Camstudio and other programs

I am trying to create me some DS videos but to be honest I don't really wish to use the Desume emulator for compatibility reasons and I heard of FRAPs, the recording programs designed for games. Does anyone here on the site know how to use it or know of any better programs than FRAPs and show me how to use that?

What compatibility reasons? I mean if you can run Fraps you can run DeSmuME...also you may want to take this to the DS emulators forum.

If you use FRAPs, it takes an image of the emulation, which means that the movie will be unreproducible on an emulator by conventional methods. Which means that we'll be unable to accept the video here.

DeSmuMe is going to have me start at the beginning again and I don't really want to have to over again on a game I got really far in. NO$GBA is the emulator I use for the game I was playing.

oh ok Well Fraps is probably the best for this and for taking videos of normal PC gameplay. Also next time I highly recommend DeSmuME even if you're not submitting a TAS, because making a video from within the emulator is better than using an external program.

Also, just a note: both DeSmuME 0.9.2 (iirc) and the unofficial 0.9.3 (for sure) are supposed to have better game compatibility compared to the latest No$GBA.
