Wow, I had my doubts that you'd be able to beat Juza with no leveling. Nice. It looks like you cast barrier with demi in the gy-laughiah fight - I'm pretty sure that's unneeded since it's only defense against energy-based attacks.

?? I thought it was against magic attacks. Demi could withstand firebreath at 30 damage without it?

Hmm. You might be right - though I would test fire breath damage without barrier to be sure. For some reason I had the idea that it was only energy attacks from techs that barrier guarded against.

Nice, didnt thought that you would be able to take down Juza either. But cool. Isnt it faster to make a macro for all the things you are doing in that fight since there are mostly just heals and attacks? You can decide who that will be healed just by pressing different keys before the heal is coming, same goes for attacks/criticals/who the enemie will hit on/ramdomize enemies before the fight starts. If you are going to start all over I noticed some things that could speed it up abit :) In Tonoe when you are at the shop. Instead of going left when you are done you can go right and up to safe around 4seconds. In the basement when you collect ashline you can teleport right away to Zema instead of first teleport out of the basement and then leave the town to teleport. Just by doing that you can shave off like 10seconds of your run, with an total of like 14seconds :) Oh and how come that you choosed the "Phantasy Star IV (4) [b5]" instead of the "Phantasy Star IV (4) [!]" version of the game? I have to delete the .srm file everytime I have to watch your movie :) Keep it up

thanks for the tricks, I saved 831 frames after the bio-plant. however, I don't get how healing macros (Res) can target the right person... can it also work for Shift? and what about attacking?

according to www.phantasy-star.net, spells in a macro can only affect the centre target (be it healing or attack)...

I made a video for you to show how I mean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWsoa7VowxA By pressing different keys just before something is going to happen you can control the whole fight. Who that will be healed, Who that will be hit, Crits, Miss, how much the hit will take and so on ect ect ect :) this also work just before the enemie will appear. For example when lvling on the Sandworms later on. If you get small worms, reload just when you enter the battle and press some buttons and voila, you fight a Sandworm instead. Hope this cleared up some. EDIT: Just saw that it didnt record my key pressings.. hope you see it anyway

unfortunately, I still don't get it :(. This is pretty much what I learned : healing only affects the centre target, which I have done for Juza's fight. And with luck manipulation, it affects if we hit a target or not. if you can redo your video whowing what keys you hit, it would help ;)

I didn't know that macros only hit the center target, but notice how in the video dark force only hits chaz :)

thats because I force him to hit Chaz by pressing any buttons just before he is going to hit :P

it's called luck manipulation, not key-hitting :p

Very nice, I like how you stop and show the story elements that can be skipped, like the statues. I'm very impressed at getting both Juza and the Psycho Wand boss. Love this game, keep up the work.

Looks ok. When you sell stuff in the stores it looks incredibly slow. Are you sure you can't confirm the price right away instead of waiting for a second each time? That's the only thing I saw in this segment.

it is indeed slow... i don't think there's any way to make it faster. Let's hope I won't have to sell too much

It is indeed slow when selling. But that is something you cant do anything about. Didnt thought you were able to take down Zio without any lvling, again. But I did see that Chaz miss in the fight, why? You can press right or left just before he's gonna hit to make him hit. Nice update

I'm not sure if you were still planing on doing any of the bounties. but I think if you do any of them that wouldn't save you time, you should just do all of them (sort of a 100% run)

the only I really wanted to do is the very last one (talking about the daughter project). It's the only one really in line with the history to algol

dark force is probably the easiesr boss so far. I need a way to figure out how to kill Raja in time... Also, I read ( I think) that the 3 wizards that steal the eclipse torch are suceptible to death. is that true?

I've been playing through this again recently. Dark Force 2 and 3 are really easy when you can manipulate what moves you do. So they will probably end up being the easiest bosses throughout the whole game. Keep it up.
