Heh, yes; I didn't remember what I had to do in that room. =/

That's right. That would take a lot more of time, which I don't really would like to spend with this... Thanks for testing; if no one comes up until tomorrow to say that this didn't work for him, I'll pack this version up with plugins and release it as the official v0.1.0. I don't want to have this on my mind anymore. :D
You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

Bleh. Program crashed for me about the time the ask for Disc 2 screen would come up. I'm using the drive loader as opposed to the ISO loader, running the game from Daemon. I'm gonna try the ISO loader to see if I get better results. But then again, my computer has been sucking lately, so it certainly could just be my computer sucking. BTW, the ISO loader does have a typo when it's compressed successfully. Edit: ISO loader does the same. So it's probably my sucky computer. :(
Taking over the world, one game at a time. Currently TASing: Nothing

I also had crashes there before, but since I couldn't reproduce them later, I forgot about them... Hopefully this build fixes that: multi-disc-test2-pcsx.7z. Please, let me know if it works. Also, you *have* to use the drive plugin, since I think you can't switch discs with the current ISO plugin. :P

*BUZZER* I just did it with the ISO plugin. In fact, I recorded a movie with it. And it synced.

Er... But how do you switch discs when you get this dialog? You can't do anything in PCSX until you press "OK". =/

well, then it should have a "Load ISO" button somewhere in that dialog box... in case the ISO Plugin was being used. Maybe this should be handled by the CD-R plugin...?

I just pressed OK and it took me straight to the Load ISO box. No hassle, no problem. Though I think you have to load the first disc off an ISO too for it to work.

Ah, you're right. It's just that I had set my ISO path in the preferences dialog, so PCSX wouldn't ask me to choose an ISO later, every time I try to start a movie. Well, I won't modify anything then... (Also, I'll stop spamming this thread now. :P)

Vulcan Raven down for the count; when asked to comment on his humiliating defeat, he replied, "I need to give my minigun a hitbox next time." Make sure to use mz's new disc-switchable version of PCSX!

No. Grenades alway have a set timer on them, even when they hit something (except for Mantis who detonates them right away). Nikita spamming allows Raven to stay in one spot and loop through his minigun-Snake-and-miss-every-bullet animation.

Okay, so I'm making huge progress now. I am already finished up until the Metal Gear REX fight! We are in the home stretch now, folks! Here you go, and enjoy the most boring part of the game. EDIT: Yes I just realized there's a desync in the fire area. Fuck. Well I'll have to fix it, but that will be later.

Wow, huge progress indeed. Almost looked like you were just playing around. :D A lot of really funny parts (this was my favourite :P). By the way, it didn't desync for me. It ends right at the beginning of the Metal Gear Rex fight. It may have desynced for you if you used fast-forward while replaying (that's a known issue). I hope those desyncs don't demotivate you; can't wait to see the final bosses. Keep it up.

Oh, that might have been it. I looked at it again and it didn't desync, and I used PCSX-RR 0.1.2. this time.

Yeah, it's interesting how that part works: You're not actually supposed to be able to sneak in there, and it was only a programming error giving me literally a frame or two to take the proper cover. Since you're not supposed to be there, the AI doesn't check for you there thus causing the loop.

I made an encode for you and anyone else who needs it. I'll upload it in a few hours when my bandwidth is freed up. Edit: I uploaded it to Megaupload. Here you go: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FPLE24C0 Edit Edit: Updated with the Metal Gear REX fight.

Well folks, this might be the end of the line. PCSX starts loading in the middle of Liquid's unskippable final speech...and keeps loading... and never stops. I'll never say never, but it's unlikely that I can continue this run. In the meantime here's my REX fight http://www.filefront.com/14291155/metalgearsolid1v2-tas-extreme-theenglishman.pxm Let's hope this can be fixed. Eventually. Maybe :(

I'm sure there'll be a way around this. Either way, I've really really enjoyed watching this WIP unfold - thanks!

Yay encode!! Thanks PureRok. Any particular reason for the unusual flight method of the Nikitas in the Raven fight? I assume it fixes him in place so you can just safely spam the rockets.

Ok, the bit at 1:10:40 onwards in the lava room was really nice. The guard's reactions reminded me of an episode of Family Guy where Peter baits James Woods into a trap by laying a trail of sweets on the floor... "Huh? Ooh, a piece of candy! Ooh, a piece of candy! Ooh, a piece of candy!" The almost-suicide with the Nikita in Raven's room was great too. :) Would love to see a bit more skating (R1 tapping) and other movement tricks, especially when you're waiting for something (e.g. boss invulnerability periods, guard movement, PAL key temperature change etc).

Where I stand fixes him in place, correct. It abuses a small area where he'll keep firing his minigun at me to no avail. The Nikita spam strategy was developed by brazilianjoker, but I modified it somewhat to include clipping through the minigun (the nozzle doesn't have a hitbox).
