We have seen Mega Man X and X2 both played at once. We have seen Mega Man 3, 4, 5, and 6, all played at the same time, because Baxter and Angerfist had proven that Capcom had been making the same game again and again. I probably would like to see Mega Man I, II and III on Game Boy, all being played at once, and maybe have IV and V both being played at the same time.

Why is there such a need to see games played at the same time? Shouldn't we come up with stand-alone TASes for 4 and 5 first? Maybe you can help. I had started on 4 once, but I got a little daunted by the possibilities of the shop system and the fact that you don't get any more free refills on weapons beyond the first four levels.

The shop system, I would have to save up on the P chips to get the Energy Balancer as early as possible and refill all weapons before the final stages of the game.

Wait, the Energy Balancer? You mean the thing that transfers energy to the weapon with the lowest amount when you pick up a refill with Mega Buster equipped? That doesn't seem very cost-effective, since it would only save a few trips to the menu to switch to whatever you want refilled. I was thinking of buying a full refill on everything just before setting off for Wily's space fortress, or W tanks for whatever weapon sorely needs refilling later on, or maybe an S tank, but S tank probably costs too much to gather enough P-chips in time. Oh and I guess the other worry was whether Beat was useful anywhere, in considering whether to grab the 4 plates in the first 4 levels. I think this was the game where even if Beat didn't home in on an enemy, you could still get right in front and underneath it and turn around to make Beat overlap it. Some testing of Beat's damage output may be helpful. I remember he could defeat a few mini-bosses in one hit, but they were all in the first 4 levels, where you wouldn't have gathered all the Beat parts yet the first time.

Doing all 5 games... Start the recording with Mega Man V in SGB mode. Now, with other Mega Man games, go to play movie, load the movie, check the "Hide SGB border" option. The overall size would be 576x288 (2:1) Super wide screen format. I would like it to be in 5.1 channel surround sound.

I agree with BoMF that IV and V should be individually TASed first. So much lag in those games, though.
