Post subject: The Legendary Starfy - Framerate issue?

I've come across a weird happening in Desmume, which basically has this one game, the Legendary Starfy, act like a slideshow even when Desmume is running at 60fps; it's as if it's actively not drawing certain frames on frame advance. I've played the demo of this game on a real DS and it should run at a razor-sharp 60fps. Is that a problem for anyone else?
My current project: Something mysterious (oooooh!) My username is all lower-case letters. Please get it right :(

I don't have any experience with that game or emulator, but it sounds like frame skip is acting even when frame advance is used. I think I remember a similar problem in zsnes. Perhaps you need to manually set the frameskip to 0? On the other hand, if that is the problem, then I wouldn't expect it to affect just one game.
