I just finished a full TAS run of a game and right now I'm on the submission process, the problem is that I try to log in outside the TASvideo Forum but it doesn't do anything when the page loads up, I go to the Submit movie link but that doesn't do anything. I'm a bit confused on what I am doing wrong, as it is my first submission to the site at this time. I've already planned out the submissoin text on Microsoft word so it will be a matter of copy and pasting onto it when it is done. (http://tasvideos.org/SubmitMovie.html)

You need to be logged in at the site. (You can use your forum nickname and password). At the top of the screen, type your nickname, press enter, the field is cleared... then type your password and press enter again. This should give you the message: "You're logged in. Good thing. Now you can log out if you wish :)" If you are logged in and go to the page you linked http://tasvideos.org/SubmitMovie.html, you should get the movie submission form (page works fine for me). Be sure to ZIP your movie when submitting.

I find it easiest to login using this form: http://tasvideos.org/Login.html

Like others have said, and for reasons I do not understand, there are separate logins for the wiki and the forums. The wiki login is the more powerful one.

That's the link I'm been trying to login from but from the very top part of the page, I type in my Username press enter but the page refreshes. The blue Login text does change to Password but due to the page refreshing it goes back to the start. Pressing stop on the internet explorer as soon you see password doesn't help either. Thanks Baxter for telling me about the Zip file before submitting.

Ignore the top part of the page, use the form where it says username and password.

Tried it but the page loads up as if it was refreshed. I tried clicking on the grey login box and pressing enter after typing the password. No succes like: "You're logged in. Good thing. Now you can log out if you wish :)" Even though when I type a word wrong it says my input wasn't correct. So after typing everything in correctly I go to the Submit Movies page but nothing has changed, no form to fill in.

I have the same problem, and I have no cookies on the website. I think the problem is related to the search page when you cannot search with some browsers.

Which browser are you unable to search with?

I don't know if you changed something, but now it's working. (The problem dated back a month or two). It was with IE and Chrome. But I can't log in. Then I use the login.html page, the page just refresh with no message. I can use the username password at the top, but I can't log either. (With Chrome) With IE, I can't log either. If I use login, then press enter, the page goes to login.html and a message Login attempt failed - your input was incorrect. appear. But if I use the login page, it just refresh. I can't never log in.

After testing out different internet browers. I can see that Internet Explorer fails to do that. Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari, were a bit better (the top login options did not referesh after typing up my username and pressing Enter). but they still did not log me into the site.

If you really can't submit it, I think it's possible for someone to submit it for you... this shouldn't make any difference, as it's about who is filled in at the author field, and not about who submits the movie... I think it's been done in the past (and it's basically done every time someone submits a team movie).

If you want to see the movie, there's an AVI download from this topic. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=215520#215520 It makes 'Metroidvania' (minus Maxim from HoD) and Ocarina of Time look like nothing in terms of major skipping. * I want to show the actual video first, since it's a DS run and not my TASers can playback on the emulator at 100% speed.
