This is a mighty improvement over the current published run. It's the result of many years of hard work. The rerecord count is not, by near, right - the correct one should possible have 8 or even 9 digits.
Well, not really...
I (Aglar) threw this run together this summer after Aqfaq had sent me a request of trying to improve the current run. I had a quick run through the game and found out that I could improve level 3 by 2 frames. However, that would turn out to be 1 frame away from breaking the frame rule of 11 frames. But then on level 4 I managed to improve the previous run by 1 frame and this time there was no frame rule that could stop me, since it's the last level.
When the run was completed I posted it in the forums so that someone possibly would try to improve it and succeed, since I wasn't exactly exited about submitting a 1 frame improvement right away.
I added Aqfaq and Ferret Warlord as co-authors since they're both resonsible for inputs in this run. Aqfaq performs the glitch in level 1, Ferret Warlord plays the rest of level 1 and 2, and I play level 3 and 4 - if memory serves me right.
Also by submitting this I have, once again, a small hope that someone will try to improve it. So yeah... please try, and good luck!
This time I thank all members at TASvideos.org for finding out and understanding how awesome the concept of TAS is!

I've watched run this before when you posted it in the forum, and I think that the fact that it improves the published run by just 1 frame shows the level of optimization that DK JR has reached. I watched this again now just to make sure that it synched and such (which it did), and I'll throw in a yes vote. "Bra jobbat", as we say, and hopefully we'll see another improvement soon enough!

Only one frame on level three! Grar! D: I never really though I'd be involved in something like this. Good job nonetheless.

Very short, nice going. 1 frame for something this short is worth it as I've said in the past. :)

Can one kind movie editor change the last "1" to a "4" in the movie description? Gaining just one frame in level 1 actually isn't possible at all.

Nothing like a game that shows Mario as the true bastard he is. Nice work, guys.

The mp4 is corrupt for some reason... Crashes my browser whenever I try to play it there, and downloading it gives a similar result.

What media player are you using? It works perfectly in VLC for me. Can I suggest downloading Aktans MKV that is posted earlier in the thread and see if that works?

If you're using Media Player Classic Homecinema, disable the built in H.264 decoder. Let FFDSHOW decode it instead.
