The reason I choose the DS version is because it has skipable cutscenes and room transisions and green slime instead of blood so more people who maybe don't can stand blood can stand this. The graphics isn't not as good as the Plasytation version but that's acaptable since it's much so faster to beat. This run is pretty optimised. I think the plant and tyrant boss can be beaten faster. Maybe on plant you can kill it in one go without moveing but then you need lots of lucks and tyrant faster but he was a pain in my butt and drived me crayz and then I got sick
I like to puint out that I made one mistake. On plant I missed a knife swing swing I always play without sund and didn't notice I miss untill too late for redoing. There is one miss knife swing on tyrant but it was intetional because if I didn't swing he would hit me and I would loose time

It has been a long time since I played RE but can't you just let the Tyrant be and kill him later on the Heli-pad with the rocket launcher? Since you can skip cutscenes in this version that should be faster and a lot more fun. I also think that you should have saved Chris and Barry. This cutsceneless RE run is pretty boring in itself. Let's spice it up a little by at least getting these two. Voting "no" for the time being. But I would vote yes for a good ending run.

I give this a meh. You missed I think 2 knife swipes, plus some of the movements seem a bit roundabout when doing turns (yes, I know RE controls suck, but still, this is a TAS). I think it just needs a little touchup and I think it'll be ok.

"Does it take realy "that" long to save chris/barry ? And your sure you dont have any "good" gun on your way to tyran ?" I haven't checked, but I would guess saving both ads at least 2 minutes to the run. Is it really worth it just to get a beter ending? I thought the goal was to beat the games as fast as possible. Getting a better gun takes about 30 seconds, plus you would have to use storage once to make room so you can pick up ammo.

The goal is to beat the game as fast as possible yes, but, in games like resident evil you also need to take in consideration the fact that there is different endings, now, im not saying you had to forcably saving them For guns i was thinking the magnum, but i recall now its just for chris lol, btw, why you didnt played chris ?!? he SOOOOO much more awesome (geek jk) My main reason to choose chris would have be the difficulty is sayd "harder" with him Edit: but of course Jill also deserve a movie

If best ending only requires adding 2 minutes to a 30 minute run, it's likely worth it.

He has less inventory space and no lockpick, so the run would take a lot longer with Chris, I presume. But what about my Tyrant rocket launcher question? @Fladdermus Yeah ofcourse you would need to ask before making a run, if TASvideos will publish it as a "good ending"-run, so that you can't be obsoleted by somebody, just doing the run with the bad ending. But I'm pretty sure that they would say yes, as it is a clearly defined goal and would make the run more interesting.

So a best ending run would be more enjoyable? Since all the cutscenes are skipped, it would just mean more running around. All you do is pick up 3 more items (and maybe have to use storage to make room for them, haven't checked) using them in different locations, and then go to Chris. Best ending also means you have to do another box pushing puzzle. If you think it would be more enjoyable, I'd be willing to do best ending run (with improved plant fight. And tyrant too, if possible) Slowking, the door is electronicaly locked and you have to beat tyrant before you can open it.

Personnally i prefer good ending, and chris, but that just me... (and no i dont think it take that "longer" to finish with chris, few more mins at worst, 2 different category tought, each character deserve a movie)

I'd say, we have 4 movies for this game: 1 for playing as Jill 1 for playing as Chris 1 for the best ending(Chris) 1 for the best ending(Jill) ................................... Is that ok?I'm not sure because I haven't played the ds version before

I watched this yesterday, and now I voted yes. I can't remember much about the different routes in the game, but assuming that the route was optimal, I think the movie should be published. The run is overall well executed, and I can't see why it should be rejected because of one missed knife swing and a few other really minor things. Tyrant being the last boss Fladdermus could redo the fight rather quickly. So overall the run was entertaining, I liked it. What comes to the question whether or not to make another run with the best ending, I think that Fladdermus himself showed a solid argument against it a few posts earlier.

How about 2 movies? Since Jill is the fastest one to beat the game with, her run should get the bad ending and aim for fastest time. And since Chris is the slower one, his run should aim for best ending.

Why not Rebirth Mode? It has more enemies, thus being more difficult, and puzzles that take advantage of the DS's attributes (it would also make this run more different from a PlayStation Resident Evil run).
Why, oh, why do I even try to understand my own species?
