Here. This quiz contains screenshots of several thousand arcade games released from the beginning till about early 2000s. It gives you several choices and three "lives" which are depleted with each failed attempt to guess the game correctly. It's deceivingly simple in questions 1–25 but quickly becomes hell afterwards. Guessing will only work some of the time, the rest will have to rely on knowledge, if you have it. I managed 43 points with a couple attempts, and it wasn't even enough to get in top-100. Getting above 100 points is bound to be really, really hard (for the record, most of top-10 are MAME developers). Try it!

Great, I've tried it once and got 53. But 90% of them were guessing.

This was pretty great. I got 43 on my second attempt. I'll have to play it again some time and see if I can do better. I'm not a huge player of arcade games, but I was familiar with most of these titles from home console conversions. Now if there was a quiz well made as this for NES or Genesis I think I'd do quite a bit better.

I'm terrible at this kind of thing, but I did discover a flaw in the quiz: you can use the back button after getting one wrong to keep going. :) I spent most of my time on consoles, growing up, and these days arcade games are generally too transient an experience to keep me involved, barring the occasional urge to play Metal Slug games.

Wow... That's some real flaw.

I only got 4 on my first try. :( Then I limited it to games before 1989 (before I was born!) and got like 34 points. Granted, I ended up guessing half the time (though at least those guesses were somewhat educated). I guess can't really consider myself an arcade connoisseur. Now if this was a quiz on NES or SNES games...

ridiculous answer choice. I mean, for example, if it's picture of fighting game.. choice is: Tekken Color-a-dinosaur 30 points for 1989 and above

I got 20. Most of them were common sense answers. I have NEVER been to an arcade in my life.
