So, here's something new--a multiplayer online game where you build structures and interact with other players...with LEGO! Finally, you can have enough blocks to really build the huge structures you always dreamed of...

Does it support Lego Technic and the consequent physics?

This is still in beta, so most likely not--just the standard LEGO pieces.

it seems like they will get sued by LEGO, because its not an official site :P

o_O Interesting concept... *begins downloading* Though as much as I hate to say it, as FODA said, this has high lawsuit potential just from the concept alone... :/ In fact, I hear the LEGO company insists that people not refer to their blocks as "Legos", lest the name becomes so generic that they lose their trademark...o_O

Well, this is a "homage" to the famous building block. Besides--these are called "Blockos".

Yes, the only person infringing on the LEGO trademark is Viewer with his misleading original post. I should use my powers to smite him and his hateful, actionable message. Just kidding, thanks for the find. I will try this.

but the "action figures" or dolls or characters or w/e you call them are exactly the same as lego ones (even the one with a medieval helmet)

Looks funny *download* Regarding the laws:
Dear Mr LeducThank you for your email from 01/18/05 and for your interest in our LEGO® products. We're flattered that you wish to use the LEGO name or a drawing or picture of one of our bricks in a video or special project. Since this project is for personal and not commercial use, we're happy to accommodate your request. Please be sure to use LEGO as an adjective (models built of LEGO bricks) and not as a noun (models built of LEGOs). Additionally, the word LEGO should always have a registered trademark "®" after it. Please note that we are unable to allow others to use the red LEGO logo. You can find a great deal of information about the LEGO Company on our website at www.LEGO.com/. Please click on "Site Index" at the top of the page and then on "About Us". You will get to a list of different types of information about our company, for example "The LEGO Brand" or "Facts & Figures". Under each heading you find more detail, for example "Fundamental Beliefs" and "History".Thank you
That's what they replied to someone who asked to make a LEGO game.

We need someone to make a permanent server so we can start building big buildings. I made a house from scratch this morning (just the exteriors like walls and a staircase) with two stories this morning in about 60 minutes, so just imagine what we could do in 3 or 4 days with 8 or so people working on it.

Okay, the ONLINE LEGO PARTY is over, due to connection issues. Er, thanks for everyone who attended (all three of you).

if anybody wants me to, I'll be hosting a server. Also, to everybody who's going to host, you should do the following modifications to the hammer script. http://blockland.blarg.cc/viewtopic.php?t=112 That should take care of whole buildings going down when an unsuspended brick cames into existence because of a wrong piece being removed, and it allows you to hammer any piece.

Man that was fun. I built outside the window, and made a stairway so far and so high that when you turned around the house was out of view. I was just getting to making a palace at the very end when the server timed out. I'm pissed.

And again I'm left out in the cold. I wish they'd port this over to OS X. I would love to play it.

It works for on XP for me. A bunch of us had created a whole bunch of NES characters, and then there was an incident...
