I've just test eternal blue on the actual pcsx-rr and it crash when zophar appear for the first time.. maybe pcsx-reload would be able to run, when it come out. For now I'm replaying Lunar II on sega-CD(gens) and trying to hunt for some glitch(I'm already into the write dragon cave and din't saw anything interesting), but I seriously think that this run should be done with the remake(PSX), since must enemy can be avoided easily(no RNG.. yeah!!), and we can skip the cinematic. ...Anyway, there also command & conquer on PSX that cool be nice even if this isn't pc version. I remember how hard it was to control the stick on the commando mission to sneak into the enemy base.

Seconded :) If you can't get it on PC, PSX is probably just as good.

I would have attempted this, but Tenchu and Tenchu 2 still don't work in the latest version of PCSX. Tenchu 2 gets to the main menu, and lets you select stuff, but then it just goes black. Tenchu 1 doesn't even get that far. If only...

Forgot if I mentioned it, but I'd love to see Breath of Fire 3 & 4.

Hmm... One game I'd like to see is Chocobo's Dungeon 2. I've done a bit of experimenting, and the RNG appears to be frame-based. At the very least, loading a savestate, then performing the exact same action at different times gives different results. Also, pretty much everything in the game is randomly determined... Enemies can easily be manipulated to miss, all your attacks can be critical, and treasures can be changed to what you need. This is even feasible in realtime with savestates and patience. Text can be fast-forwarded past just by holding L2, which could help make up for the cutscenes. I'd try it myself, but my computer doesn't seem to want to run PCSX...

There are a lot of PSX games that deserve a TAS because they're so good. I've searched through the thread and I haven't seen anyone request Vagrant Story which baffles me. This game has TAS written all over it. You can manipulate luck like hell in this and all the boss fights would look beautiful. Not only that but you'd probably be able to avoid most if not ALL the enemies. Just my two cents. I'd be more than happy to give advice or contribute strategies. I would do this myself but I don't know how to TAS and my computer is not built for that. I don't even know if VS ISO's exist. Anyways, that's my humble request.

It takes a lot of manipulation to avoid everyone/chain bosses properly, but the run is literally an hour of hopping around and then killing bosses in one long combo.

So...the TAS would be boring because you say so? I didn't realize your opinion had the Midas touch. There are a bunch of rpg tases on this website which by your logic would be quite boring since they require 'extensive luck manipulation' and repetitive actions (input command, rinse & repeat). Dare I ask, have you played and completed the game? You're right that it WOULD consist of a lot of hopping but that's the platforming aspect of this game. Failing to appreciate that is like saying the platforming in Mario games are boring because that's ALL the games consist of. Also, I have no idea how you find killing bosses in one combo boring: no one complains about one round kills on bosses in Super Metroid, so what makes VS different? I'm fairly sure not many people find that particular example lacking in entertainment, wouldn't you say? Whether it would be too lacking in 'entertaining' is obviously up to the tasers and the administrators, so I can't really say for sure what they're looking for in a tas run to be honest. But whatever, everyone's entitled to their opinion I suppose; I just wanted to get the request out there and nothing else, so I'll just leave it at that.

From what I can tell, Zurreco is really just predicting the general viewer response, moreso than expressing his own opinion. I can't personally see any PSX RPGs entertaining as a TAS (except maybe Brave Fencer Musashi), as they are all quite slow (Breath of Fire III, though great, is probably the slowest-moving RPG I've ever played next to Dragon Warrior). Although I suppose Vagrant Story would be pretty short. It would be nice to see someone glitch up ledges and reach later areas earlier than you're normally able to.

Thing is with RPGs, both TAS and non-TAS runs, the main entertainment is the boss fights, as well as forced battles, mainly due to the luck manipulation involved as well as the strategies used. While in some RPGs, FFV, FFVI, and even the recently finished BoF2, the fastest method would be abusing what the game can give you to instantly win battles(FFV's Blue Magic, and FFVI's Slots), or use the same attack over and over(BoF2's Dragon forms for Ryu). For BoF3, it would require a bit more than just that for battles. While it would be somewhat similar, Garr using Gambit, Rei using Weretiger, and Ryu using a dragon form, the manipulation would be the main entertainment Anyway this really isn't the place for that kind of discussion. PSX wishlist for me would be Breath of Fire 3 Medievil 1 and 2 Megaman 8, X4, and Legends 1 and 2 Syphon Filter 1, 2, and 3.

You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

That was a pretty cool run of MML1, I wonder why it hasn't been submitted here? It's a nice game to watch, plus kicking the dog is one of the funniest things I've seen in a TAS recently.

tales of phantasia, I would do, but I hate desyncs, as well my computer is too shitty to emulate ps1(it can run ps1, but only pSX ps1 emulator was able to run without lag), I would made tas of toP's gba version, but too bad nobody likes that version because its laggy(ssslllooww battles, I dont mind them), and music sucks(gba's biggest mistake; no sound card/chip/whatever, no wonder why games such duke nukem advance, v rally 3 runs w/o lag(they dont have any music in-game))

Of course, then nobody'd be able to read what was going on, unless we manage to get the policy on fan translations changed or someone's willing to do a heck of a lot of subtitling...

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver Both of these games have a lot of potential, especially Soul Reaver. Besides being a huge LoK fan myself, would be good to see these games done.

Anyone considered Tunnel B1 yet? I've been doing some speedrun attempts and there are a lot of tricks that can be abused to improve your time, its definitely viable for a good TAS imo.
