Yeah and even anti-ds mupen is still very desynchy with MM. So there has to either be a version that doesn't desynch at all or we'll still have to wait a few years until computers are so fast that you can play back the m64 in a few minutes instead of a lot of minutes.

I've decided to show you the most recent m64 of the MM TAS (restarted a month ago): http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1522600220/Rupee%20Collecting%20newest%283%29.m64 you need anti-ds mupen to desynch it. found this download link here in the thread (not sure, wheter it works): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=M0CECCU6 feedback would be nice =)

Seconded. Actually being able to watch it would be nice, so that I can comment on the (obviously) awesome run!

Well, some of us are unable to use Mupen. I never could get it to run properly.

oh well, expect an avi tomorrow for everybody watching, I've discovered a bunch of new tricks I have only published on zeldaspeedruns.com yet, so don't be confused, when suddenly something crazy happens you've never seen before ;) one example is a trick, that let's you skip many types of cutscene via playing SoDT 3 frames before the cutscene starts. I do this to skip the "Mikau walking out of water" cutscene expect a few other new tricks, too. Slowking and I also figured out some new strategies and changed the route a bit ;)

It's looking good so far, wonder what the final publication would be like. :)

Oddly enough it synched just fine for me with normal Mupen. Looks excellent so far!

It started off fairly tame, but as more balls entered the picture it sure got a lot more entertaining.

Worked nearly on the first try with AntiDS Mupen. Desynched after leaving CLock Town as Link the first time. (right after "jumping" over the fence to the Bay). Looks awesome btw. :)

Synced fine using antids (I consistently got a desync after that tree with the original m64). The run is excellent so far, really entertaining. Glad to see that cut-scene skipped and ive never seen that trick as a zora before, cool time saver.

Oh man, exciting stuff! Haven't watched yet (so no feedback, and I guess this is a useless post). I'll encode it eventually, like I have pretty much every other WIP in this thread, but I'm away from home all week so, sorry.

Run is looking awesome so far Grunz =D. I was surprised just like everybody else with the Zora cutscene trick, nice find. A couple of parts I really enjoyed were the Zora HISS slide in the water and the bombchu recoil flip into the water after slashing the owl, really entertaining. Nice job and keep up the good work :D

I got indication (don't remember exactly how and by who) that Petrie intended to do a 100% tas. Is this by any chance true? :)

I'm pretty sure that that's just a rumor and no fact at all. we also have no real 100% route yet. the one we have is far away from being optimal, so before someone does this run he has to time a lot of shit first ;)
Well, it's a little of both. I did intend to do one once, but the massive complexity of the 100% route has pretty much put a stop to that for now. Also, nicely done with Ikana there, Grunz. Looks like you're almost back to where you were before the restart.

before I re-started I finished pirate's fortress, so there's still a long way to go ;)

nice timing ;) when you wrote this, I was making the encode http://www.mediafire.com/?mviwyi5ljyd the file is pretty big, although I cut out all the longer cutscenes. I just suck at encoding, but it's better than nothing :P

Size is irrelevant! So long as it is a reasonably fast server. But this is awesome. Will download right away!

Yeah that's what they tell you, but when it comes down to it they really want it to be big. ;)

I couldn't get this to work with anti-DS either so thanks for the encode. The run is coming along fantastically and I was very impressed with how much improvement you were able to find over your last WIP. I'd single out the same moments as Bloob as my personal favorites so far. I have large dent in my floor now from the impact of my dropping jaw, expect a bill in the mail Mr Grunz.
