Would this be a possible feature to implant in order to compare two runs? Perhaps it would need to be ran into two separate windows since the slower run most probably would desync if watched in the same window, the way I mean atleast. :) But some sort of compare tool for new and old run would be awesome.

Easy, open 2 Gens and pause the emu before opening both movie files.

I do that by loading both files in Premiere.

Yeah. Thats a solution. But what if I don't wanna use an external program like Premiere? Besides. Then I need to output both movies as avi's right? Would be easier to just load the GMV's. Phil's idea is somewhat easier.

That isn't possible (on my computer anyways). The second Gens screws up the first Gens and makes it unable to display anything.

Ghost watching?!! You'd have to add occult powers to your emulator for that. It would require the use of a demonically possessed Atari 2600 and the ultra-rare Video Ouija cartridge. That has not been done, and if you attempt it, consider what a Pandora's box you could open. You take your life and the lives of others, into your hands. I suggest this as a starting point for your unholy research: http://www.tv.com/aqua-teen-hunger-force/video-ouija/episode/323226/summary.html

Erm... No one have replied to this thread for over a year. :D I guess you have to much spare time on your hands.

Bump... actually I think this would be neat... not just for Gens but all emulators. If they could just open 2 movie files at the same time, and toggle the secondary run as opacity 50%, then we can easily compare 2 runs! It is useful for both the viewer and the runner... why not?!?

A split screen emulator would be interesting, but that would end up weird, because if one side ended first, the other would probally crash and burn, killing the user...Emulator at the same time. It'd be cool to see though, I'd actually be able to watch the dual megaman x videos >>

I dont quite get what you mean... but yea, it would be nice if you have either a split screen or 2 runs super-imposed on each other option. Even better if both can be included. That would make run comparisons hell of a lot easier :)
