Rather than limiting the route a TASer may take, I think it would be nice if some other Sonic runs could use the solution from this run's 2nd encode--just making it so we can see Sonic when he goes crazy off-screen.

I agree - this rule is just what is needed to get the sort of Sonic run people want when they say 'glitchless', and also works for many other games. Is is also non-ambiguous. (It might need small clarifications as walls are 'entered' by a few pixels quite frequently, but this shouldn't be a big problem.)
