I haven't touch zsnes TAS tool around yet, because I haven't find any way to quick savestate and quickload savestate, and I didn't see any customizable key-binding option somewhere. And I noticed inaccuracy emulation. Like Legend of Zelda, intro - triforce comes together too slow. Secret of the Stars, when you encounter battle, something blink right before battle screen comes up, it shouldn't do that. I bet there's more like that on other games. The only reason I play on zsnes is playing game normally with GamePad (for now..)

Does anyone else find 1.5 heavy? I find that starting the emu is slower, there is some lag in changing the save state slot, alt+tabbing takes a good while and sometimes even crashes the emu, it's impossible to for example watch videos with the emu in the background because the emu messes up the sound by getting stuck (you know, like a broken record). The earlier versions of zsnes never gave me this much problems. I must add, though, that my computer has been up a while, but I've had it going ong longer many times and zsnes has worked just fine.

It has customizable hotkeys. It's just that they scattered throughout the different emulator menus. I would prefer "configure input/hotkeys" in a single menu. I didn't notice any difference in how heavy it is, to me it's very light, but I got a pentium 4.

That's very nice, however it can't be used to make TASes because - You can't select savestate slots while the game is paused. Actually, you can't do anything while the game is paused except unpause it. - Frame advance doesn't work. It works for one frame, and then it doesn't work anymore. Those are my only complaints, other than that it seems to be functional, although it would be nice to have the hotkeys better organized. I don't want to sound like I'm ungrateful for the work people have put into this, but at this moment, this emulator is unsitable for TAS purposes.

Are you sure it doesn't change the savestate slots while it's paused? I bet it's just that it doesn't display the messages because it can't refresh the screen. Did you actually test that?

Yes, I tested it and it doesn't change the slot (or do anything else at all). If someone is getting the stuff I mentioned to work, please tell me how (if possible).

Paused as in having the Esc key pressed? Try the dropdown menu.

You mean there's more than one kind of Pause? A real kind and a fake kind? :/ How confusing. Hmm, the board isn't letting me post this. It says, "Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form." Does anyone know why it's doing this for short posts? (Apparently it'll let this one through!)

Esc is not the pause key. There's a pause key. Go to config - speed options. - Ok, while it's paused, it actually saves and loads, but doesn't change slots. - if i hit alt+tab, the rom crashes. Even resetting the rom won't work, it needs to be reloaded. (the emulator doesn't crash) - "addams family values" just crashes as soon as the game starts (the rom crashes).

Hmm, yes, you're right. In addition to that, here's my personal wishlist for the next version: 1) there should be separate hotkeys for different savestate slots (it's MUCH handier to load them with one buttonpress each, not to switch between them each time); 2) all the hotkeys including save/load states should be freely configurable — and in one menu, not scattered across 3-4 different ones; 3) frame advance should ideally work exactly like in snes9x (since it's pretty much perfect in there), and it shouldn't mess up the graphics at all; 4) how about a more minimalistic GUI as a separate option? I sure think many people will be happy about it.

1.50 allows you to use a different hotkey for each savestate slot, but just "pick". Do you want also one "save" and one "load" for each slot too? Other emulators use this, but i never got used to it, i always use "pick" and then "save" or "load" to current.

I mean exactly one-button (or button combination) save to/load from a slot. I shuffle through my states very often, since I'm using four at a time while TASing (one at a safe spot, one at the beginning of a complex sequence, two more for general purposes — testing variations in the span of several frames). Of course, it would be much longer for me to pick a slot, and then use it — especially if I alternate between them a lot.

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but if you've got the game paused (through the hotkey), the screen won't refresh unless you frame advance or continue otherwise. This means if you were in the menu, you can't go back to the game without it looking like the emulator is frozen. EDIT: Also, is there a way to display input while playing/recording. I thought this was here but i can't find it for some reason.

Slow motion, frame advance, rewind, rerecording, export to x264/xvid/lossless? In an official release? Is there any reason this shouldn't become the standard for SNES movies from now on? Great stuff.
How do you frame advance? EDIT: Sorry if this is a n00b-ish question... :/
