Post subject: My DeSmuME isn't loading savefiles

It keeps saying they are corrupted, I have the save type in what it should be (the savefiles were converted to FLASH 512kb which is what the save type in DeSmuME is set to).

Um, I can't think of any games that use FLASH 512Kbit, unless you mean 4Mbit? (Most emulators list the save types in the wrong fashion). Make sure you're using the right save type for that game. Look up the game's save info via Pocketheaven: http://www.pocketheaven.com/ph/releases/?section=ndsearch
