Finally! I'm almost there to submission..... You can download my WIP here. Time: 17:25.63 Frames: 62738 Rerecord Count: 7870 About This Run: This run completes 4th Stage in fastest time. Well, this stage is as difficult as Stage 3. Can you see the darkness in real life? Level by Level Comments: 4-1 - Another bonus round playing in this level. If you ask me why I've decided to go to a pipe (or what object do you think?) below is because you can't reach for a moving platform. 4-2 - In first area, I've compered between taking damage and waiting to dodging the waterfall but I believe taking damage is faster than dodging. In 3rd area, I don't know which is the optimal input when you are riding in vertical moving platform. 4-3 - Check out the clock enemy sliding after I've hit with a hammer. And in Rabbit Season, I can't reach the carrot from an area where I've started, so I've landed in Rabbit Season platform. 4-4 - In reaching the vertical moving platform, I've decided to collect a carrot so I can save time. About my Encode: Well, I've deleted my previous two videos that are done in Japanese version and I will upload them right after I've finished TASing The Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout. Please wait for Stage 5 WIP (or should I say the last WIP). Sorry for wrong grammars.

Really nice! The health management is especially good with this stage. I'm impressed that you went through so many waterfalls and still had enough health. It was really cool to see you kill that orange flying guy in 4-4 at just the right time. Also, it's great to see you finally made an enemy slide from the hammer. That was always fun to do. Question though: why hit the oil drums? Is it so that the darkness reduces lag?

Sorry it took you so long... You can download my improved Stage 4 TAS here. Time: 17:25.1 Frames: 62706 Rerecord Count: 7512 About this Run: I'd improved the Stage 4 TAS by reducing lag. As I say, I believe that darkness can take lag. I did this just for entertainment. This run got 32 frames faster than my previous Stage 4 run. Once again, please wait for a Stage 5 TAS (or should I say the last WIP). PS: Well, I'm not yet a TASer genius. I'm still a 16-year old 4th year student, graduating in March. And my dream is to be an actor, of course.

You can download my 5th WIP here. Time: 21:17.45 Frames: 76647 Rerecord Count: 9028 About this WIP: This is my last WIP and it is almost to the submission. This run completes 5th stage in fastest time, I think. Level by Level Comments: 5-1 - Well, I have no comment in this level. But in Rabbit Season, I found a shortcut by jumping through the Rabbit Season platform 5-2 - There are two routes in this level, which is top and bottom. I didn't compare these two routes but I believe that the bottom route is very optimized. 5-3 - Another bonus round playing in this level. As you see, I didn't caught a second vine. So I'd took damage in spikes. In second area, I'd decided to take in top route, because you can't dodge carrots from below. 5-4 - In the start, I'd took to the top route because the bottom route is the dead end, so you don't know where you can take. And in boss battle, you need to kill the chick first before Foghorn Leghorn was killed. And so I can catch a big carrot early, I'd stayed in the top route. Note: This is my last WIP. Please wait for the final stage TAS in my submission in TASVideos. But before that, what do you think about my WIP?

Nice redo of Stage 4! I like how in 4-1, you used the extra dive down a pipe to make the moving platform appear sooner. The jumping also looks quite good; you dodge some carrots I thought you would have to hit. You seem to have a few jumps, though, where you hit the top of the wall before the top of the jump. Does that slow you down much? One example is at the very last warp barrel in 4-3, where you do a jump that hits the barrel to avoid collecting the carrot. I'm actually quite surprised how easy Stage 5 looks compared to Stage 4. I used to hate fighting / dodging the frogs when playing on console. Anyway, some comments: 5-1: You jump over a couple carrots on ground level, where there are white blocks surrounding the carrots. Those jumps seem pretty slow, since you hit the right side of the ceiling each time. Would it be faster to take the top route over those carrots? 5-2: Good! 5-3: When there are two swinging ropes near the start of the round, you take damage from a frog to jump to the ropes quickly. If the ropes have fixed timing anyway, why not kill the frog properly? 5-4: Good!

Congrats! Out of curiosity, how many carrots did you end with? If you had fewer than 9 carrots, then I guess you could grab a few more carrots without losing time in the bonus game. (The carrots you dodged in 5-1 stand out to me, for instance, as I mentioned earlier.)

Hi there, any progress on making the encode? It's been a couple weeks since you said you finished the run ;-)

Well, I'm sorry about that, but the YouTube upload takes more couple of minutes. I've uploaded the 4 stages here (My encode is just like RingRush' encode). Stage 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPKfE3h7T54 Stage 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpYYbkCPpfo Stage 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni1N0MAXfOc Stage 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNQ9dsjk5jc My question is: *Should I submit early? Or *You should wait for an encode? EDIT: Well, I wanted to submit early. Maybe I let somebody to encode when if you choose the first choice. :)

With NES games, it's usually easier for people to find the ROM and run the emulator. I would have an encode ahead of time with newer systems, where the ROMs take up significantly more space and the emulators are more computationally-intensive. Anyway, thanks!

Future improvement: Well, there's a Lua Script in this game. So, I will redo TASing this game using a Lua Script. But this time, I need a co-author. Please PM me. By the way, which version do you think is better for lag management? -USA? -or Japan?

Oh, nice. What would Lua be good for? Tracking your position and lag? Unfortunately, I don't have the time to make TASes or I would help. Maybe you can send a PM to some of the TASers who liked your movie when you submitted it. Also, I would guess that the US and Japan versions don't have any real difference in lag. I could be wrong though. It's probably better to stay with the U version, so that more people can read the beginning and ending.
