Here's Pinball Quest done 1792 frames faster with better strategies and increased precision.
  • Emulator used: FCEUX 2.1.4a
  • Aims for fastest time (Although, every movie will fail until somebody builds an intelligent bot.)
  • Minor luck manipulation (Stealing Devil Flipper from the shop and some enemy movements.)

Baxter: Accepting as an improvement to the published movie.

It's weird. But faster is better.

This looks so much better than the currently published one (probably because it's more optimized). I'm also glad this one has an HD encode with normal volume. Voting Yes.

So it was the evil magnet that was behind it all? And it was defeated in a cutscene? Anyway, great play.

Kind of a goofy little game, but I was entertained and it's an improvement, so yes.
I will not use self-reference in my signature.

This game is epilepsy-inducing. (I don't have that condition, but I'm sure that if someone does, they would have to be a bit careful to not to watch this full-screen in a darkened room.) Even without the condition, it was pretty annoying at points. But that's not the TASer's fault. Otherwise it seems very well optimized.

I always liked this game, and this run speeds through it hilariously quickly. Nice work! ...it's only now, a good 20 years later or so, that I realize just how nonsensical the end cutscene is. SURPRISE MAGNET!

Voted Yes, partly because of good game choice but mostly because of fantastic execution. This makes me want to do another pinball TAS myself... A.C. ******

Isn't that contradictory? You like the movie and still vote no? (For the obtuse: That was a hint that you might want to change your sig to avoid confusion.)

If I wanted to avoid funny situations, I wouldn't be using this sig in the first place, would I?

I finally got a chance to watch this and the published run. This is way better. Very nice job! The only boring parts were waiting to steal from the shop and the area with the boats, but there's nothing really you could've done differently with those. Yes vote.

The ban has nothing to do with the quality of the movie. Be nice. We can be glad that this movie was improved, but our joy shouldn't come from the forum status of the previous author.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

I love this game- it's so wonderfully oddball.

I have made a 512kb encode of this run, as this page says it doesn't have one, but unfortunately, I do not have the permissions at this time to add it to the current library on archive.org, so here is a download link, and hopefully someone with those permissions could put it up there.
