I used Famtasia 5.1 to run this game. I aim for the fastest time.
I used Password to quickly warp to world 8-4.
I used the Rom that playable on PocketNES (Program that allow to play NES on GBA) and many version not compatible with PocketNes so you need a patch to open it. You can download that patch here http://www.gbafan.com/files/emu/smb2j-ips.zip Use IPS XP or ips patcher to patch your SMB2J rom or it will death at first level!
The hardest place is the water stage. It has firebar floating and i rerecorded many time to pass firebar.
I use SMB2J Playing for PNes.nes not FDS!

Well. A) The rules state that no patched roms are to be used. http://tasvideos.org/Rules.html B) Why do you even *need* the patch, why not play on regular SMB2J? C) What is this password-thingy? Is this a feature of the normal SMB2J without patches? Anyway, I haven't watched the movie, so I'm not going to vote, but this seems to break the rules.

"password" is how you select levels on the pirate game of smb1 and smb2j. press A to increase world from 1 to 8 and B to increase area 1 to 4. it shows on the top part of screen. its a pirate game using a cheat code
