Mario Forever is a well-known PC Mario game. It's fun to play, and suitable to TAS. The latest version(5.01) works not bad on Hourglass, however, it causes lots of crashes. Here's a very simple test for the beginning scene, also, a warped run is about to be done.
Recent projects: SMB warpless TAS (2018), SMB warpless walkathon (2019), SMB something never done before (2019), Extra Mario Bros. (best ending) (2020).

This game is great. I think it deserves to be TASed.

How long will a Warped run take? Also, how long will a No Warps run take?

Is Mushroom Calamity considered a warp?

Here's an MF5.0 non-TASed run (by HappyLee, that is myself) in 8:50. And here's an MF4.4 TAS in 10:36 by LYH. TASing 5.0 and latest versions would cause more troubles I guess, due to more bugs and higher speed. Version 4.4 is stable enough to TAS, so I would make a TAS of it recently.

If someone knows how to resolve the stutter caused by vsync or the screen tear caused by a lack of vsync, please let me know. I've searched for a solution to this for months, even tried various refresh rates with vsync to no avail. It's the only thing that truely stops me from enjoying this game :/

The normal levels have way too much autoscrolling levels involved, at least in the warped version. Super Mario Bros 3 has the same problem, but it's much more popular which makes that acceptable. If most of the other levels are not auto-scrolling, I prefer a warpless run instead. It would also show more of this game. I think the Human Laboratory World will make a better TAS. It looks sufficiently different from the original game, and it's short enough. It will need much fine-tuning though (for example jump before falling).

But how to run it? When I got to "World X Complete" screen, the game can't skip to next world...

What about a 100% run? There is tons of extra stuff in the game, and it would be interesting to get them all. (The game keeps track of them too, remember)

Well,I think we should make a TAS of Mario Forever 5.01 "warped",but I don't have enough time. In the "warpless" movies, when we got a "world x completed"screen, the game can't warp to next world. But...What about the TAS of other world in Mario Forever?

I suggest that we can use 4.4. Because there are lots of bugs in newer versions... If we want to TAS other worlds, I think hardcore worlds are the best. There are 8 levels, and they're hard- they have a high entertainment.

As I said before, we could just do all the extra things as a 100% run.

That's good.New version always crash. And hardcore world has enough challenges.I hope the TAS will soon submitted.(Please ignore syntax errors) ---- But...Why I can't run Mario Forever 4.4?What should I do... ---- Well,I'll make many TASes of Mario Forever in Summer vacation, and submit on this website. Then the game will be much fun. ---- Edit by FractalFusion: Merged three posts.

Now this game has published. But maybe it can't run with emulator like Mario Forever Galaxy. Due to the beginning.

Well. Too long no word. But now, I want to say something about this. Mario Forever Remake has been published for some time. But I forgot to test it with hourglass... I tested it just now. And found it's possible to skip to next world. "World X Completed" can be skipped! BUT It's NOT easy to be accepted by anyone. Because Mario Forever Remake is not official. It's created by other Mario fans. So what do you think about? If you like it, I'll give it a try with my friends.
