Hi there, I am fairly new to this community and I really enjoy it so far. I got the famous desync issue and I am trying to fix it. I don't want 5 frames to trash my whole day of work on this. I got the frames numbered and I wonder how can I delete those 5 left input that has been recorded. Opening it in notepad doesn't help because you don't get to see the frames, only the input. Can you please help me with this?

Try Notepad++ it should tell you the line number. Make sure you backup your movie first.

For some reasons after fixing it and continuing the TAS I played it back and the desync occured at the same place, unless I wait to finish it and then correct it, I fear that this will always happens, weird... Any ideas? EDIT: By played it back I meant, I continued working on it and the desync occured at the same place, editing the 5 frames makes it work afterward :)

Are you continuing it from a savestate that you made before fixing the movie? Usually after editing a movie file, you have to playback the whole movie and re-save over your savestates before using them to continue recording. (Because a copy of the movie file is stored inside each savestate.)

ah, maybe this is the problem. I'll do this then. Any other information I should know, I tried to search for FAQ about making a TAS and they all speak of other consoles, I would really like to have a lecture about making TAS this way I could ensure myself that I am doing it properly because it sucks to always have to redo over and over :)
