Goddddddddddddd FML, I hate fixing computer.
Anyone here good with fixing computer issue?
About 1 week ago, I decided go to microsoft.com and do "window update" for the heck of it.. didn't do window update for some months.
After window update is done, reboot computer... and then since, my computer started to crashing while browsing internet.. seem to be youtube related (while playing video or after video, etc). It's making computer do realllly long hang, then quick BSOD, then force reboot, but it happens rarely, but at least once daily. It's annoying me.
I tried to do sfc /scannow command, didn't fix.
I tried to do "system restore" point, but it seem to cause some program not to work until I do window update again.
Adminstrator tool "event log" isn't catching this error so nothing telling me what kind of error is it, how am I supposed to know what causing computer to crash so that I can look up on how to fix it?
Why did i even bother do window update when it isn't broke...
How do I go around fixing it?
In before "What OS are you using?" I'm on Window XP Pro SP3 by the way.
Stop using IE?
Does it happen with Chrome/Firefox?
If it's caused by one of the updates, it can probably be uninstalled - it's just a matter of which update. The Windows Update page will tell you what was recently installed and you may be able to pin it down from there.
This sounds like a broken record, but doesn't hurt to try: Update/install a virus scanner as well as AdAware and/or SpyBots S&D and scan your system, just in case.

I've been using Avast running in background, I've updated and scanned on both Malwarebytes and SpyBots S&D some hours ago. Zero threat report on them.

Let me guess, you're using an old NVIDIA graphics card?
The latest drivers cause issues with youtube among other things. Turning off hardware acceleration in flash will fix your youtube problems, though things will look pixelated if you have to resize the video.
Otherwise, revert to an old driver version; I'm using 266.58, for example.
the 280 and 285 series of drivers have proven problematic for several Nvidia users regardless of video card being used. Users with Geforce 500, 8000, 9000, 200 etc. cards have reported system crashes, driver resets etc. when browsing the internet as well as when gaming. I personally suffered some problems with a particular game when using the 270 drivers but not the 280 or 285 drivers (Currently using latest 285 driver without problem).
My recommendation for your situation is to downgrade to the 267.24 beta driver as that has, to me, proven to be a very solid driver release. You should avoid using Windows Update to update hardware drivers and instead go to the manufacturers website.
Nvidia are expected to release a new driver on the 27th with some fixes to these crashes as well as numerous game fixes for RAGE and Battlefield 3.
