So, it looks like Bowser captured Yoshi and stole some famous relics!
Now Mario has 8:15.57 (the movie time) to get the relics back and rescue Yoshi, or history will change forever! Boot up FCE Ultra rerecording .98.28 (emulator i used)! Make sure the game is the USA version (BIOS)! Get there as fast as possible (goal)! NOW GET GOING-- er, let's not start an episode of "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego." Let's go to the movie info-- wait, i already did??? Well then, here's a note.
  • It took me an hour and a half to finish the movie. It wasn't that hard.
Thanks.

Probably not the best game choice, but I'll reserve my judgement until I watch it. Also, please use FCEUX!

i could if i would, but every time i do a rerecord, it takes time! e.g: 1 rerecord, .5 seconds 10 rerecords: 1 second 300 rerecords: 10 seconds it takes forever!!!
So yea, how's it going? Currently TASing: Nothing

This looks like a bad argument to me, since you only used 632 re-records for this TAS. I also agree that you should use FCEUX.

Me thinks you need to brush up on your math. .5 x 10 = 5. not 1. SO 10 rerecords would take 5 seconds.

Not compared to IWBTG. That game crashes a ton! and then, all your savestates are stale! So, stop complaining.

Seriously repetitive, I'm not sure if the game would make good TAS material. At least it's pretty short. Problem is that the TAS is pretty poorly done. Not very precise, on viewing it looks like there's serious room for improvement. Good job seeing this through, keep working on your techniques, and remember, an hour and a half is never enough time. TASes are art! They require time, effort, practice, all that fun stuff. Use a better emulator (FCEUX), use Frame Advance instead of slowdown, and redo every inch of the movie over and over to see if there are faster ways through each chunk. See if by doing things at different times/in different ways manipulates enemy movements, allowing you to clear the screen or run to a certain point sooner and with less interruptions. There's definite room for improvement, but it looks like you have a good enough grasp of the basics to take that next step up, good luck.

i can't honestly give this a yes, or even a meh. the game is rather repetitive and looks like it can be improved a lot. i however i did enjoy brushing up on my history :P

I've been working on Arcade's Revenge since March and it's still not done yet. Hundreds of thousands of rerecords. Get used to using these techniques. More importantly, why does this even relate to your emulator choice?
All the best, Brandon Evans
