Which DVD-Drive should I use to boot games from DVD-Drive. I have HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50 ATA Device. Can it boot games?

Considering that Wii and Gamecube games have to be dumped via Wii's and/or Gamecubes currently due to incompatibilities with the DVD drives on the PC, it might be fair to say that... well, you have to 'dump' your own games for use on PC.

That's patently false - see this thread. I'd say give it a try; we generally can't tell you if any specific drive works or not.

That's not exactly new. PC dumpers for Wii and GC games have been around since the Wii has modchips. So early 2007. Before the Wii got homebrew they were the only way to dump Wii games. Edit: Oh I remember there was a gamecube homebrew around the same time that could dump Wii games on a Wii in GC mode. So rawdump wasn't the only way. Still, the fact remains that it has been around since early 07.

When I put a disk in, rawdump doesn't see it and my computer freezes up if I try to look at the computer folder. I have a HL-DT-STDVD-RAM GH40L drive, and on Vista. It seems that the computer isn't able to read it or something... And I'm not getting the wrong drive error or anything.
