Show your support, come up with slogans and artwork. BizHawk is some serious business, when it comes to devouring a game!

Maybe a hawk with an NES controller in its beak, with that glitched Mega Man 1 screenshot?

Well, I don't think I could draw something like that, but I think it's a good idea for artwork for the emulator. If you're being sarcastic, it went completely over my head. I'm not very good at detecting sarcasm.

I have absolutely no talent at painting. I threw together my image in a few minutes in paint. So it shouldn't be hard to make a nice mockup of your ideas. Someone else can come along and make it pretty if the idea is good. I also suggested to adelikat that we put a controller in its beak, and put another game in its other talon. If it wore a tie or something would help too. Let's also not forgot slogans! BizHawk: It eats games for breakfast. No console is safe to hide out on.

BizHawk is serious bizness.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

I liked your second picture. An idea I had, how about a vicious hawk tearing an NES unit apart? Nah bad idea I guess :D

…why a NES? BizHawk is an emulator for all emulations, not just NES…

Because adding every system to the picture is stupid?

whenever did I imply that? adding a single one is stupid because it doesn’t portray what BizHawk truly is, if you got some fantasy think up something better…

An emulator is an abstraction. There is simply no easy way to express what it is in a simple, low-resolution image, as there is no accepted visual symbolism associated with it. Try it yourself without overcomplicating things. Expressing some connection to the system(s) BizHawk emulates definitely isn't stupid, and I like how it was done in hero's images (I do think they need some touch-ups though). As I understand it, the NES is used simply because it's a canonical, easily recognizable system that revolutionized home gaming, so it definitely won't be forgotten in foreseeable future.

that wasn’t implying anything using a game instead of a console makes more sense already, like Nach did in his opening post

But Mega Man used in Nach's post is an NES game. It doesn't portray what BizHawk "truly is" any better than its host system. It doesn't matter what game you take either, it doesn't make it any more obvious.

Speaking of which, this topic is more or less clearly meant to be sarcastic and a touch of denegrating. If you don't want to use this emulator, why bother with a sarcastic topic like this dearest Nach?

Yeah, I am pretty sure this thread was just a joke anyway. Despite that, its still fun to make bizhawk pictures. Alaktorn, if you don't like just having just the nes, I am all ears for how to represent every console in one image.

I want to promote TASing, and even if I don't personally want to use an emulator, that doesn't mean the emulator shouldn't be all it can be, and be used to make excellent movies. Since the name doesn't scream emulator, we must market this emulator as best we can. I'm a bit upset that we haven't seen anything really creative yet for some marketing propaganda.
