Surprised we didn't already have a thread for this (and perhaps we do and I just don't know where to find it). In any case, I think we should start our own map sharing thread. Trade maps and share ideas. We can all improve by learning from each other. I will attempt to keep this first post updated on a daily or every other day basis with the newest posted maps and the top 10 rated maps created by our community (only the ones that have been linked to from these here forums, and from steam accounts that are in the TASvideos steam group, to prevent abuse). I've now created a collection containing all of our maps in a single location. Now you can't simply click here and select "Subscribe to all" to add all the maps to your queue. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=71704935 Top 10: 1. Intentionally Left Blank 2. I'll start the map festivities off with my first three maps. Jump before you leap This first map is a short easy, but interesting map. First one I made and uses well known concepts. Quad Chamber This map is a very large map with several chambers that all require solving. This one does have some problem solving required, although somewhat minimal. Will take a bit of time to complete though. You Gelly? This map is entirely gel based. Very simple, but you get to have some fun with physics and practicing aiming your gels and such. Where's the Switch? Just made this one up over the last couple hours. Has some fun with gels and a bit of problem solving. Blue Angel And this one forces you to think about the angle that your portals are oriented in order to get the correct trajectory. I think this one is a nice one. Four Score I took a lot of time to develop a password system to enter each room. I had to dumb down one of the puzzles significantly because of the item limit per map. Having a password system meant I couldn't have as many items laying around the map. In all there's 4 rooms, nothing as bad as Quad Chambers. Overall I'd say this should take 10 to 15 minutes on first try and be pretty fun.

I'm not a big fan of map making, but I'm great at testing maps and finding exploits (see my youtube) if anyone wants a tester for their maps.

Cubic jump My first map. Try to get the cube to the other side of the water. If you want a real challenge: try doing it without using the light bridge.

I played through a few of them, and I especially liked the four score one. Would have liked the back parts to be a little more involved, but understandable because of the limit you mentioned. Nice maps overall.

My first map, made in about 15 minutes. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=68689719 My goal was to make a puzzle that is simple but appears unwinnable at first. I will surely make more puzzles as I get more ideas.

Got a new one I just finished. It has 2 solutions, an easy way, and a hard way! Speed Funnel

So far Cubic Jump has been my favorite by far, but Where's the Switch and Speed Funnel were pretty fun too.

I solved it, but I have no idea if I solved it correctly or not ><

The correct solution: Put the reflector box down in the pit on top of the laser emitter to create an angle

Decision Time My first finished level, mostly to test things. Not particularly hard (especially with quicksave etc.) But I'm hoping someone finds it an interesting concept.
<adelikat> I am annoyed at my irc statements ending up in forums & sigs

Got a new one. This one is almost entirely reflexed based. I would bet it'll take at least 3 deaths before finishing this one. Enjoy =D Portal reflexes

You can run past it if you know what you're doing =)

I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to do this. I can easily hit below the exit door, but I can't seem to get the height to get through it. I'm having a blast playing it anyway. I'll keep trying. EDIT: Actually after trying some stuff with noclip, are you sure the final fling is possible? I think the angle on the last panel is too steep.

I'm 100% certain it's possible, you may be trying the wrong thing ;)

Ah very tricky. I figured it out. I wish more people made fling maps. EDIT: Decided to make a solution video since I enjoyed it so much: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLuMPJKcVvg

The funny thing is, I didn't know you could do it that way =P This was the intended solution: http://youtu.be/548valyq06I

What the laser!? I'm super happy with this one, I hope you'll enjoy! P.S. I made a demonstration map to show how I forced a sequence of events (with the lasers) so that there weren't 5 lasers running at the same time as this causes major frame issues. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=71850663
