Anyone else watch the solar eclipse today? It is also my birthday today so I kept thinking about the opening of Aria of Sorrow. I was disappointed when I didn't get any special powers or get transported to Dracula's castle. I guess you have to view it from a Japanese shrine. It wasn't a total eclipse and from where I am we didn't see the full disc but it was still pretty neat.

Glad that you enjoyed it. My location was within the partial eclipse zone but the sky was washed out by clouds and fog. Too bad I guess. At least there is the partial lunar eclipse on Jun. 4 and the transit of Venus on Jun. 5/6 to look forward to.

it probably wasn't visible in sweden. there is also the last transit of venus in our lives in the beginning of june, but i'm not sure if it's so interesting because venus is so small compared to the sun, so you probably can't see much difference

Since I live in northern California (Redding to be precise), I was directly in the center and got to see the famed "ring of fire" that annular eclipses show off. My family had those special "glasses" and everything. Got some pictures and a video with my phone as well! =)
