This is our joined effort into making an enjoyable movie for battlemaniacs. Unfortunately, the problem with this game is the ammount of autoscrolling levels, but we did our best to keep it entertaining.

There was some manipulation on the stuff dark queen says on the cut scenes, which saved some time. Also, wherever possible we tried to double the score by hitting enemies more than they should take (that's a programming error)

Differently than some may think, we didnt record this at the same time, as we live very far from each other. We both controlled both characters. We made this movie together for convenience and to make it a better movie.

At this game, when playing at 2 players mode about 11 seconds are added because of bonus stages. The game reserves some time to count score, eventhough no pins were gotten. (if pins were taken, it would be slightly even slower). But the fighting makes up for a faster time.
This one is 48 seconds faster than the lastest 1p submission with a time of 19:56.

Features:
Played on 2 players mode B (they can't hit each other)
1 person controls both characters
No deaths
Aims for fastest time
Aims for score without wasting time

Emulator used: snes9xw-improvement7
Settings used:
Use WIP1 timing = no
Allow left+right/up+down = yes
volume envelope height reading = yes
fake mute desync workaround = no

Movie Description suggestion:

This is that game that looks like a remake of the first battletoads game.
The toads go after silas volkmire and dark queen because someone was kidnapped again...
Features 2 players and aims for fastest completion time while bashing through the enemies and showing off.

Phil: Processing...

Pretty nice job guys, the game itself is pretty fun to play and I prefer much more to play and view this snes version of battletoads then the nes version.

Outstanding 2-players antics. You've made as many levels as possible entertaining, so I think this is the first submission of this game worthy of being published. Great job you two.

What was with the graphics going weird on the falling level in the tower? Was that 'cause you were falling faster than the game would scroll, or was it 'cause the 2nd player got caught in the top, or what? Beyond that I enjoyed it. The game in general looks cleaner than the NES version and the only thing I wasn't very entertained by was the early part of the bike race level, but you couldn't really help that. Yes vote.

I'll grab this to watch later. I hope that it's as interesting as the NES version was to watch. I've seen a straight-up speedrun of the game before and was amazed at how many auto-scrolling levels there actually was. Seems like there were more of those than actual beat-em-up stages. Oh well. I trust that it'll be good. You know what you doing. Zig~

Other than the speeder bike level which I fastforwarded over because I hated the speederbike level, it was a great run... My favorite part? First boss. Playin' catch with the big granite pig :-p

Quietkane, that problem was caused by snes9x emulation, it doesnt properly emulate that level's plataforms and foreground graphics on some parts.

Yes Yes Yes, I vote the entertainment. Of course, FODA & Vatchern are remarkable players.

Nice job, I was really hoping someone would finish this run. Its just too bad the designers didn't include more fighting stages, they look the most fun and least frustrating.

Yes.. I agree Zalien. But the designers now are way too hooked up on Donkey Kong games.. i would love to see a Battletoads game for GC..

I ended up fastforwarding all the autoscrolling parts, which were 80-90% of the game, and some of the other ones too. I'm sorry to say that this is a no even though it's well played. There just doesn't happen a lot and I find it very uninteresting to watch.

I dont blame you, i think the nes one is much better for timeattack, but the demand for battlemaniacs is huge and i think we did a good job through it. thnx

Uninteresting? Ofcoarse if you fastforwarded basiaclly 80% of the game! the hardest part for us was to make those levels entertaining. You should have watched the full game before even voting. You didn't find the double hitting in the first/second stages entertaining, or in the boss?

The fighting stages were the redeeming parts. I liked the boss juggle. But overall there's just too many long outdrawn parts. The speedbike section, and the clanger level or whatever it's called, and the long slow pointed pole section, and the bowling pins (twice) and the rat race level... the snakes also got boring after a while. To be honest I fast-forwarded the speedbikes and clingers in the NES version too. But that one had many other fun levels and more bugs and more crazy stuff possible. Don't take it personally because it's not. I know you two worked hard on this but that doesn't make it a good game to timeattack.

Voted meh. On one hand, the game was played excellently, but the fact that half the levels were autoscrolling kind of made it dull after the first level.

Insane teamwork. I didn`t care about speed and autoscrolling while watching, it was just so fun to watch. It was more like a movie with emotions, gestures, show than a common speedrun. One of my favourite for sure.
