My first arcade submission. Here I take Protoman and megaman. Game contains only Boss.

BOSS fights

Shadowman
Boss you fought for first time has lowest hp so i pick shadowman because he is speed. There is one glitch I found ,I called it double damage.Usually when boss takes too much damage he will stumble and drop so if you can hit him two times in same time the boss hp will drain out quick and will not drop on same damage he does normally.
Bubbleman
Doudle damage is used. I used megabuster with shuricken to do double damage glitch.
heatman
this graduated kid can hide his head. Bubble and megabuster is used.
plantman
he has more hp. This boss can take more hit heatman's attack is not enough so shuricken is assissted.
Centaurman
stumble and hit technique is used to kill with proto attack and megabuster(same as shadowman) Nothing more to explain about boss

Nach: Judging.

Nach: Replacing submission with an improvement on hardest difficulty from the author.

Nach: This movie is a bit repetitive and not all that entertaining, but the audience response was pretty good (once all those no votes are changed to yes for the replacement). Given that the run is pretty short, I find that it's entertaining enough. I'm accepting this run as a first run for this game.

It works here when you put watch instead of Watch in the URL. Account (http://www.youtube.com/user/Mark69707) is available just fine. Edit: just noticed Marx edited his post to have the proper link as well with lower-case w.

Marx: Is the double damage glitch only possible with two players? If not, I think a one-player run would be better, since you basically keep both players in the same spot during the fights.

Also, the fights got repetitive real fast. Practically every opponent was beaten the same way. The monotonous player movements didn't help much either.
I agree. I guess it's the levels that make the Mega Man games interesting, since removing them would give you movies just like this one.

Alright! This definitely looks better. The Centaurman and Shadowman fights look improved. I liked the ending better as well. Thank you, Marx. I think this is at least as interesting a fighting game as, say, Teleroboxer. It's not as entertaining as most Megaman games, but it's also short. Judges, consider my vote changed to a Yes (even if I can't officially make the change in the poll).

Okay, this new movie is definitely better than the last. And with the votes changed from no to yes, audience response is pretty good. But a lot of the fights to me look like there's plenty of room for improvement. No one else think these are a bit sloppy?

Maybe... but I'm not sure. For instance, with Mad Grinder, there's a noticeable delay in shooting, but then Mad Grinder throws his blade and takes damage a lot faster than normal. I figured delays were manipulation to make bosses vulnerable to damage glitches (the end of the Bubbleman fight was another like that, I think). It would be good if Marx could comment more on the glitches.

Well, I'm also wondering if the order is optimal. Later bosses start with more HP, and there's also weapon choices.

no, 2-player is a must Nach: mkip's right the reason I make delay between each hit on mad grinder is to make him throw his blade as he won't stumble if his blade is swinging. Weapon choice are correct as well. Boss order are too. Actual rerecords were roughly around 18k if include where I discover those glitch and the first I thought of killing centaurman first err.....

... can I get my vote switched to a Yes vote? I'm terribly sorry to ask, but after watching the second video, I really do think it's worth having on the site. Pros: - It gets the job done and in record time. - Weapon damage is optimized for significant impact. Cons: - It's pretty damn boring to watch. The only time Marx makes the players do anything interesting is after each battle. - It could use some optimization in a number of places for better enemy placement, no defense frames, and so forth. - Would it be faster to use different weapons against certain bosses to avoid the "critical hit" animation, but still do tons of damage?

Yes please , my video isn't good enough.

yes it is. Thats why I use normal shots on plantman even though he is weak to Heatman's fireballs.

Watched the tas I liked it. Then I got curious on what the in-game timer was, it was 2"01"68. Nice work Marx on the run. Edit: As requested by marx making it better quality. I'm not going to be home when this uploads so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRssx42hAAU (Edit2: Since run is accepted and there is a high chance I'm not encoder I've deleted the video) If this video over stretches then "DAMMIT YOUTUBE!" Also I'm going to fix it again due to some minor error with the info. Edit3: I'll encode this run, if the encoders don't want to. Edit4: Final encode Link to video

It's not a bad run, but it's no Capcom Arcade fighter that we have here. There's no infinite juggles or other BS behavior going on here. It's like watching a Megaman boss rush. Meh from me.

Well... It is a Mega Man boss rush. Both of the games in the series are. To call them "fighting games" is kind of being generous. Really, the only thing these games have in common with traditional fighting games is the whole "one-on-one" thing. (Or two-on-one, in this case. Street Fighter Alpha 3, anyone?)

names aside, this game deserve a series of frame wars submissions
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Hey guys. I accidentally yt:stretch tag for an Arcade video. What should I do? Is this dangerous?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Done. I would like to request a vested editor or higher to add "Uses hardest difficulty" as a tag. I would add it myself but I don't have that power.

Didn't you? I thought you replaced the submission with one that entertained more during waiting periods and was also on the hardest difficulty:

Go here, when you need to update yours is "zqoY1iE4LKo" so this is what the link should be (guessing) if not Ctrl+F obviously and use that link. Add the tag, Save, and then hit update.

It was Nach's fault. When did you saw me selecting difficulty option
