You make it sound like it was a cartoon show made for little girls.
I apologize for the gaffe. :P Anyways, I find the (possibly unintentional) matriarchal undertones in the show interesting because a) it's extremely rare in any work of fiction, and b) it's really well handled, in that you don't even notice it when watching the show. It's not like they shove it in your face or anything. It just feels like a natural and unimportant thing of the fictional universe.

Holy crap, this topic is still alive. Back on topic, Apple still hasn't blessed their subscribers with the latest episode. Also, this whole $29.99 "Volume" thing seems to mean they intend to sell every season split into two parts, which comes out to $9.99 more than they were originally selling the first two for. (They've since split seasons 1 and 2 into two volumes each.)

Thank's to me for bring it back up and everyone else that helped XD Since Boomerang (Cartoon Network Classic Shows (Still don't know if Americans have that channel so I keep referring it to that)) is still only showing season 1 in Australia it's $19.95 AUD for the DVD of it and I hope the same for season 2. But if I did buy this show I would use it to troll my friends if it was their birthday. madmen have the rights here in Australia for selling the dvds, I love madmen for that.

Hey! Remember how I kept mentioning quilts all the time? You know, the ones that my sister designed and my mom made, with me in the role of consultant? Said sister now has a deviantArt with all these quilts plus a few more uploaded on them. My dad can be seen in a few of the pictures. I ask again, like I've tried asking before. We have a Derpy design already; who else would you like to see? How much would you be willing to pay for one of these?
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

While I don't have money to pay for anything (leeching off my parents ftw?) I'd love to see a design that push games quilts to their limits - something amazing that people never really thought quilting could achieve. If you have time, that is.

jlun2: Have you seen the design for the Sisters Royal? That one's gonna be quite involved; we're already dreading that eventuality. SpikeStuff: And who else?

So I was wondering: How large are the ponies compared to humans? The subject is actually not very straightforward. It all comes down to the definition of "pony". From what I gather, a pony is just a horse. It's not like they are their own species or anything. What differentiates a pony from other horses is a matter of definition. A common way to define a pony is that it is under an approximate height at the withers. So I searched for a photograph of a person riding a pony in order to get a reference, like this:
Then I took a pony from MLP, scaled it to have the same height at the withers as that one, and embedded it in the picture, like this:
The result is... a bit scary, to be frank.

General consensus is about the size of a large family dog. I'll include a bonus picture for striking a little close to home for me.

Would that make them ponies at all? They would be smaller than new-born horses. Some kind of odd dwarf horses.

Actually, the answer is already in MLP first generation. Link to video

http://cheezburger.com/5577009664 <- this seems to be pretty accepted. I also remember some theory based on the relative size of apples in the show, but can't find it now.
Even the best player is limited by the speed of his fingers, or his mind's ability to control them. But what happens when speed is not a factor, when theory becomes reality?

Optimus Prime... Cave dwellers... Are they mocking the idea of basement dwellers or something?

Cave troll... or brony? (Btw, my "size of ponies" post was intended to be humorous. The second image was intended to elicit a "lol" reaction. I suppose the humor was too subtle... :P )

Needless to say for me as a Scootaloo fan, today's episode was the biggest treat ever. Pleased me on so many levels - I should mention I've been reading fanfics and so many things I read were, you could say, remixed into this one episode. Just epic, and quite sad that was probably the best thing I was looking forward to this season and now it's over.

I swear: Some months ago I had the thought that it would be cool if they made an episode where one of the crusaders got lost in the woods. In fact, I was thinking of Scootaloo specifically. This episode was not exactly like that, but pretty damn close. I didn't like Rarity's flanderization, though. She acted like a real jerk towards her sister. I don't think her personality should be like that. She's sophisticated, refined and quite OCD when it comes to cleanliness, but she has never been such a jerk. Speaking of Scootaloo, who exactly is she? I mean, Apple Bloom is Applejack's sister, Sweetie Belle is Rarity's sister, but who is Scootaloo? Who are her parents or other family?

She's born a changeling raised by chickens neglected up to fan interpretation.
