hi! im currently working on a speedrun for Pary of sin. Since Hour Glass doesn't work I was wondering if there's an actual TAS/slowmo software for PC games (steam game, runs exclusively in fullscreen -.-) ? any ideas? cheers steeh

If the game runs at a consistent frame rate you could make macros and scripts to automate input for you. Then it would be a 'script-assisted speedrun' like some of the Half Life runs.

hmm that doesnt solve the problem of "exploring" i'd like to do with slomo frame by frame ^^ but an interesting point i will have a look at :) thanks so far !

A few ideas that aren't ideal solutions: -Running the game inside a virtual machine -Running the game on an old machine or laptop (laptops in particular let you adjust the CPU speed, or I think you can underclock desktop PCs in the bios settings too?) -Running the game alongside a program, such as Cpukiller, which tries to throttle CPU (I remember using this to cheat at Neopets flash games back in the day, not sure if it still works well)

Use Cheat Engine and click "Enable Speedhack". Doesn't work in some games, like in RuneScape Classic, it doesn't do a thing. But in other games, like Ao Oni, it works.

hey! thanks for the ideas! i tried my luck with the cheat engine. it didn't work for what i usually wanted it to help me get the trick frameperfect, still i was able to test most other stuff so thanks a lot for that!

Well, for Cheat engine, the only thing I really used the speedhack was when to slow dow camtasia to record Ao oni (which was played back really slow and the avi dump fialed to work) and to cheat on online games.
