Disney's Hercules TAS by me :D this is pretty fun game!
Emulator's setting: default, bios used: SCPH1001.BIN, PAD setting change to Digital
Goal:
  • Aim for fastest completed time
  • Take damage to save time
  • Choose Hardest difficult
Game tricks:
  • Attack will interrupt movement, so jump then attack will be faster
  • An attack must be completed before you can attack again, use jump will cancel any attack (but you still jump in the air)
TAS details:
  • YOUR BASIC D.I.D: some challanges for player to be familier with the game
  • HERO'S GAUNTLET: hold UP will run ahead faster
  • THE CENTAURS' FOREST:
  • THE BIG OLIVE: This boy will stand up and run, and he will damage Hecules if he's charging Power, so I need to wait for few frames!
  • THE HYDRA CANYON:
  • MEDUSA'S LAIR: this is a very boring fight, just wait till she kills herself
  • CYCLOPS ATTACKS: hold UP will run ahead faster
  • TITAN FLIGHT: this is an autoscroll part
  • PASSANGEWAYS OF ETERNAL TORMENT: hold UP will run ahead faster
  • VORTEX OF SOULS: slash'n'slash
Thanks for watching :)

Noxxa: Judging. Also, cleared up the game name.
Noxxa: Accepting for publication. Viewer response has been generally subpar concerning entertainment, so it will be published to the Vault.

Hellooo, sir. I'll be trying to watch it. //Aaand done. Excellent run, it brings back so many memories. I forgot just how much of the game as an autoscroller though. Oh well, here be a yes vote.

I'm going to relate this to my relative who didn't know speedrunning back then and also had this game. You bet him by 4 minutes it always took him 47 - 50 minutes to finish this game, which amazed me when I was young now you come out with a tas which is just under 34 minutes, I love what you've done. (just read what scrimpeh wrote on what I thought of the run XD) YES VOTE Also there was a-few things I noticed that you did that I knew why you did it, the game can be painful at some times.

Voted no. Some of the levels really dragged so I wasn't entertained. A half hour is too long for a game like this. Plus I couldn't tell what movements slowed you down or not. If it never slowed you down to move side to side than I felt more time could have been spent to be doing things during the run to make it more entertaining, or if it did slow you down to move I don't know why you collected some of the items you did.

I remember this being the first ever game I ever played in the 32-bit era and being blown away by the sound and fmv sequences. Personally, I think the levels and bosses drag on too long and its hard to distinguish between real time playing so I'll vote no.

I couldn't help but wonder what the designers were thinking during the cyclops level. How do you make a right turn and still have the Cyclops infront of you (Obviously it's a background). I think the levels should be about half the length, but that's not your fault lol. I enjoyed the run a lot, I love the movie. Yes vote.

Three autoscrollers, tedious bosses and little to no indication that the movie wasn't just a normal speedrun. Boring.

I had been looking forward to a TAS of this game for awhile, as I enjoyed playing it when I was younger. Little did I realize how boring a TAS would actually be :/. Way too many slow levels and boss fights. No interesting glitches, speed tricks or fast pased action in general. So yeah, this will get a no vote as well I'm afraid.

So many auto scrollers and looooooong-ass boss battles. I played this game but didn't remember that. Voted meh.

I think the hard difficulty is to blame for some of the boring parts. But clearly not all of it.

Thank antd for the encode :D Yeah I know the boss fights are long and, not very interesting, but other levels are fine :P Maybe with the easy difficulty, those fights will be faster! If this will be accepted I will redo with the easy choice and, concentrate more about entertainment!

I will TRY encoding.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Guys I think this game has Herculade in it.
I'm just a spectator. There was a time when I tried to participate, but I'm really lazy, so. she/her/hers
