Agree, maybe a team for Crash 3 is probably a good idea, posting our SRAMs together to beat this game.

Plus, in order to get the Platinum times on most levels, you need the Crash Dash, which isn't obtainable until after you clear Cortex. If your goal is to "only" get Gold Relics, is that possible without the Crash Dash?

Yes, via the Neutral Slide Jump. The current realtime WR does this.

That is why I also mentioned a NG+ approach for a 105% tas on this.

NG+ helps more with purple gem path skip, yellow gem early and...I guess running shoes everywhere. Personally I'd rather see an NG TAS. Also don't forget that some platinums are slower in realtime to get than the respective gold-and wouldn't 105 aim for realtime?

Platinum would change the run to a "105% all Platinum Relics" which becomes a pain in the ass because you need to spend more time lining up a lot of stuff and being able to destroy all current records (Like I've done XD) Honestly Crash Warped should be this: - any% - 105% - 105% - Platinum and maybe a NG+ Edit: There is about (I may be wrong) 18-22 of the 30 levels that you can get Platinum as it's basically every platform level (and 2 bike stages). Also Orient Express and Midnight Run are more crazier when it's Gold Relic.

Alright, thanks for the reply. Loving all the discussion here, I look forward to seeing whatever progress is made after Bizhawk incorporates Playstation :)

Here you go. There are 2 save files, one for the PAL version of the game and the other for the NTSC version. No NTSC-J because I didn't plan on making one for that version. You'll notice that it says double the amount of crystals and double the amount of gems.... I did it like that "accidentally" but the upside it prevents you going to fight Cortex so you can continue going through each individual level. Also the relics are not unlocked, It's not that hard to get the sapphire relic so I let it be (another fault on me but still 25/30 is not bad... right?) Anyways, ENJOY!

It's worth noting that after collecting the 5 crystals in that world the boss was not available. However, this does allow for skipping Tiny, Dingodile, N. Tropy and N. Gin with gate clips in theory, though the crystals would still need to be collected. The implications of a 105% run are start with WR3 then cycle back to WR1 and do everything else in the standard order.

You can get into the third warp room but you can't get back out thus you are unable to backtrack to the other warp rooms. It would have been cool to be honest, since it would completely eliminate non-100%ing Tomb Time and Bone Yard on the first go (which are the only games not being 100%'d when first visited). But until somebody finds a way to clip back out, it shouldn't be possible.

Incredible! Especially Orient Express! Are you the one who made that video? (My Japanese, despite being a huge anime fan, is very bad) -- I assume not as your logo is not on there, but I figure to ask anyway. Also is there any differences between ntsc U and J ?

I'm not apart of that group (since the subject is called "I quit") differences... Crashpro3 has done a Walkthrough on Crash 3 In Orient Express Coco gets on Pura earlier compared to both PAL and NTSC Parts 6 to 11 of that walkthrough shows each levels relic times on each region. I'll give an example Sapphire relics are shown. The obvious one where Aku actually stops you from continuing on in the Japanese version to teach you something. Edit: I don't remember which one is the slowest in Crash 3 but here is a list of which Crash game is the fastest on which region. Crash 1 - Japanese/ NTSC (It should be Japanese as fastest due to a level shrink and a gem change) Crash 2 - PAL Crash 3 - NTSC
Edit I don't remember which one is the slowest in Crash 3 but here is a list of which Crash game is the fastest on which region. Crash 1 - Japanese/ NTSC (It should be Japanese as fastest due to a level shrink and a gem change) Crash 2 - PAL Crash 3 - NTSC
For Crash 1, the NTSC-J is still not confirmed to be the fastest in Any%. In 100% it is without a doubt though. But in Any%, it might not because you always HAVE to face a box screen whereas you can bypass it by dying in other versions. Maybe the time will add up and the NTSC-J version might turn out to be a second or two slower than the regular versions. As for PAL vs NTSC-U, we cannot really tell. Frame perfect zigzagging on NTSC might be faster than it is on PAL. Due to the difference of Crash's running speed there are also different cycles in levels, you have to face, thus making all of this hardly comparable. For Crash 2, the PAL version is faster except in the Glitched Any%. Boss fights are MUCH faster on NTSC, plus jumping is lower so it takes less time to get the 200 bounces. So NTSC is the fastest version for that category in particular. Crash 3's NTSC-U version is most likely the fastest for all categories. PAL faces the same speed differences as in the other games, it might only be faster in New Game Plus. NTSC-J is identical to NTSC-U with the exception of Aku Aku popping out when you destroy mask boxes.

The NTSC-J must be the fastest in Any% thanks to the green gem location, as I think the box screen only gives a slight advantage to NTSC-U (1 or 2 seconds faster at each death abuse level, but 18 frames slower per extra box in the other levels according to the old TAS comments).

On top of that half of 'The High Road' is missing in the Japanese version.

I don't know why Hog Ride (the motor-bike level) was so unoptimize (33.96 is the developer time, which is very good for this level but not the best possible), but everything else was well done.

Agree, fastest time (dunno it might be WR) is 33.76 by FernandoMingroni followed by Crashmania time of 0:33.86 and three different people with 0:33.96 (RodrigoAmaral666, Hunter (H64) and crashlordxxxx). All times are NTSC

The uploader comments during that level say something like 'It was a coincidence to get the developer time', so I think he got it by accident in a test run and was so amused he kept it.

Link to video Warp Room 3 No Level 12 since it's an underwater level and psxjin has issues with the layering.
