Also known as " Nanashi no Geemu", this is a first person survival horror game published by Square Enix that didn't get an international release despite being popular enough to spawn a squeal....3 times, simply because you can't shoot fight anything.
Given that I TAS'd half of this game already as a joke, I might as well continue it. I'll post the WIP once I get everything back in sync.
Here it is:
<removed>
The game was surprisingly hex edit-friendly, as all I did was add 3 frames to it and it synced all the way....until around frame 42900 where the lag frame mysteriously delayed itself for some reason. It also desynced at frame 67880 and 79860 but it was easily fixed by adding 1 frame.
Sorry for taking so long just to complete 1 room, but I had do redo this session after I found out that while the regret is slow as a snail, it moves fast enough so that by the time you reach the exit, it's away enough not trigger it into chasing you. In other words, there's not enough time to fool around abit.

Finished watching. First and second day was boring, but it gets more and more interesting as day passes. Although most of movie consists of strolling, I can see you did well on route planning, especailly at day 4(a marketplace?).
I have no idea what's going on this game, so it wasn't really scary for me.
.........
Okay, it freaked me out honestly. Several times.
By the way, what the voice kept saying on day 2(subway)? Ico? Igo?
I've noticed I've forgotten to rotate the video in the later half of the day 4 encode and there's some audio missing in the day 5 encode. They'll be corrected as soon as i get my computer fixed (hopefully) by tomorrow.

The tunnel part and the field was one of the most annoying things I've done for this game. Btw, during the field, about 5 seconds after the enemy disappears (according to ram watch), it reappears close behind me at run speed while about 1m in the air. 0_o
Oh, and I found out that 20F4601 will make you run/bunny hop when the value is set to 16. So far, this has only happened during the end of the hospital stage. Not even that little girl in day 5 runs after seeing a bloody man. :o
First column: Y Stylus
Second Column: 020F44EE (2 byte int)
Third Column: 020F44EE (Fixed Point 20.12)
Fourth Column: Press Up/Down (2 byte int)
Fifth Column: Press Up/Down (Fixed Point 20.12)
Notes:
*Pressing Up at any point the Stylus's Y location is below 95 will not change the value of 020F44EE
*Pressing Down at any point the Stylus's Y location is above 95 will not change the value of 020F44EE
*The values of 020F44EE at points 190+ are the same.
*Turning left (Pressing "UP") is faster than right (Pressing "DOWN")

I wasn't able to save a frame at the school area. :/
I also had to change the way I move at the hallway because I found out it affects the way the game lags in the dining room and the hall to the bathroom. Even though it looks different, it took the same amount of frames. :P
Oh, and pausing/opening DSTS right before the cutscene crashes the game.

I finally managed to skip the red ghost. Now over 7000 frames faster than the previous runs.
Notes:
*This DOESN'T affect the game's linearity whatsoever unless you tried doing this after backtracking to the nursery and breaking your DS. In that case skipping the red ghost would get you stuck since you can't check your mail.
*There's a 2 frame opportunity to do this for each time you close the dialogue box.
*Since getting the "good" ending requires an item from the cursed game section here, 100% would look different now.
Looks promising so far, that's a neat skip.
I wonder how the encode will look like if this gets published. People're gonna break their neck by watching the game that constantly switches between perpendicular(the "TS" part) and horizontal(first person screen part).
Hey, I'm almost done, and it appears I'm kinda stuck:
http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/18412301736800072
The 5th room (the bathroom) has a potential 800 frame timesaver that I wasn't able to accomplish. If you could somehow move fast enough, you could skip waiting for the red lady. I managed to be 2 frames away from accomplishing such but I was ultimately unable to skip waiting. If anyone wants to try, the red lady only spawns once you past a certain trigger point, so turn a bit more before heading to that point to get a slight headstart. Oh, and for this room alone, it seems you can't just exit and reenter the room to get rid of the lady in red. :/
I'm not sure if I will ever do the sequel, but if I ever do, here's the map of day 6 invisible maze:

0212E200-0212E207 are flags for cartridges.
I still play this game. I found out it's possible to skip the first encounter with the subway guard:
https://youtu.be/w8q3jsOVqiE
The intended route is this:
https://youtu.be/gb-bu0BnFSQ?t=149
Also, they disabled the door message, but the stall trick still works in any door that can be interacted with. You can do this to stall the guard forever, but this game appears to be move clever now; more chase scenes now have the regret's destination constantly change to your position. That's not always the case though.
Edit: I don't believe I've ever encountered running in the sequel, but regardless, changing 0213493D to 16 makes you bunny hop run like in the chase from the original day 3.
Also I'm positive it works at skipping the red room at the end of the subway.
Todo:
1) Actually write out where the game cartridges are other than listing date. Where the heck are games 25, 26, and 27??
2) Changing the cartridge flags to 0xFF sets it to purple. Find out what it means.
3) Find out what carries over using the suspend feature other than cartridges.
4) Find out more event flags
5) Find out what the journals actually do other than backstory.
6) Find out if you ever actually run in this game.
Let me correct and elaborate:
Each address is responsible for 4 stages and act as binary flags; Bits 0,2,4,6 are the found status and 1,3,5,7 are the completed status. So if you want to obtain them all as incomplete, just set each of the below to 0x55 (0xFF for all as completed)
0212E200 - Minigames 1-4
0212E201 - Minigames 5-8
0212E202 - Minigames 9-12
0212E203 - Minigames 13-16
0212E204 - Minigames 17-20
0212E205 - Minigames 21-24
0212E206 - Minigames 25-28
0212E207 - Minigames 29-31
There are purple flowers north of each well. After each completion, the corresponding flower turns red. Complete all 31 minigames to have blood additionally leak out from several wells.
Edit:
0212E57A - Path A/B
0212E603 - Event flag
0212E607 - Day (Real world)
0212DE58 - Day (TS)
For 0212E57A, it seems to correspond to the following:
1: Day 8
2: Day 1
4: Day 6 Hospital
5: Day 2 (House)
6: Day 2 (Subway)
7: Day 3 (Karaoke)
8: Day 3 (Hotel)
9: Day 5 (Graves) - Both graves take place in the same location, so this address can't be used for day 5.
11: Day 7
If cheats were used and changed to other values, for linear stages nothing different happens. For paths, the top path is always chosen (Subway, Hotel, Kenta).
0212E24C - changes TS for some reason
Now that you mentionned it here, it is possible to record the changing of firmware time, and testing, it does work perfectly on 9.9. Apologies for the misinformation.
