I'm so glad that you found out that the boss skip is possible, I almost died when i first clipped through. This run was amazing, now we need to find a way to clip into the final level and get a sub 5 minute run :)

I found a way to clip into the 2nd last world from the very start of the game. Unfortunately, once you beat the boss, it goes back to the opening scene at the start. If you try to unlock a world, it unlocks the first one (although the save menu says 3% completion, and if you clip back into the world the boss door is unlocked). If you try to do the clip after beating either the first boss or the tutorial level (so you have the ball again), the loading zone isn't there to warp into the 5th world. You can stand inside the area but you don't get teleported. So, this seems to be useless unless someone can prove me otherwise, which I would love! This would save almost 10 minutes.

Here are two more barrier skips: World 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=909FiZFmxYI&feature=youtu.be (TAS only, I think) Final world: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsaOPx-LS6M&feature=youtu.be These are currently useless, though. Beating a boss early will only let you open the next barrier in the usual sequence, and even if we could open them out of order we'd still need every gem to run the credits. Warp loading zones aren't there after you've just beaten a boss and need to place a gem, and since skipping to the final level uses the ball it can only be done at the very start of the game.

Here is the world 5 early video: Link to video This clip works by getting enough speed with the L button trick, and then hitting L on the right frame to clip through. This makes the ball go underground but not Glover, so this allows you to walk around a few seconds in the animation where you stand on the ball, and you it seems like you can go through any walls in this state.

If you beat a world, then clip into another world and beat it without returning the first world's crystal, do you return 2 crystals at once? if it's possible to clip into all the different worlds then maybe it would be quicker to just go straight from each world to the next then turn in 6 crystals all at once at the end.

Clip Glover through any wall or barrier that isn't slanted inward: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ft_LfNIiCjg&feature=youtu.be

Nope, unfortunately you still only get to insert one crystal. I'm thinking that the only improvement to the current route would involve either duplicating the ball, or by keeping the ball after inserting a crystal and using it to insert all six. I haven't even a guess as to how to achieve this though.

This is probably a stupid idea, but maybe the game is like DK64 in that only certain crystals are required to beat the game? Edit: I managed to start a clip into the right side of level 6 on console. I didn't realize what I was doing so i went out of it, but I was definitely inside the wall.

Maybe using resets would help, I don't know. Anyway, good job with those skips, Bloob!

We can clip both Glover and the ball through just about any wall: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKJWdjZjFaM

Damn that's nice. I tried it on console but I apparently can't even get the clip without the ball. A couple of levels could be a little faster with this: 1-2 3-2 6-1 6-2 Edit: Also, something that was found a few months ago by fenrikaz is that D-Pad is faster always, but it only has 8 directions of movement so it sucks.
