I don't see very much progress here. It's basically the same, just a wider screen, a different color and it's somewhat more unhandy.

As TASeditor pointed out I find it hilarious that the 1993 device fit better in the hand than the 2012 device. So there has been progress alright, just not in the right direction...

Yeah. The newer device is also such a memory hog! A fullscreen raw image on the older device would take less than 10 kilobytes of memory, while on the newer device it takes 3 megabytes! What a waste.

Of course it looks largely the same: the interface (i.e. hands) hasn't changed. The advantages are inside: - online connectivity - more customization (in terms of third-party programs) - much more storage space - better graphical abilities

Don't forget: - Audio playback (Music and etc) - Camera (Video and Picture) - Microphone - Much better processor Also, if it is too big, get an iPhone or android phone. Same device, just smaller.
