I nominate Got4n. His published movie list actually seems a bit underwhelming for his many projects and ambition. Also, having worked with him (to some extent), he's also a really nice person to work with. I'll also put up £e Nécroyeur, who has created some really solid runs.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

That'd be an unmanageable list. If there's a few newbies that really stood out to you that aren't mentioned by others, please enumerate them (and don't just paste the whole list).

By your criteria, it sounds like Spikestuff deserves a nomination as well.

Quibus... a guy who TASes MSX games and intelligetnly approaches his TASes. got4n TASed famous games with success. give him time, and he will be the new adelikat/MESHUGGAH/etc... xxNKXx, someone who likes to TAS but gets unmotivated if someone is better than him. training = higher skill £e Nécroyeur.. I fucking love his submission texts. I'm a "technical terminologist".

Sad part, no offense to him. He can get "defeated" pretty easily, depending on the game.

Yeah, maybe nominating myself would be pretty braggart but hey, I'm a rookie so don't know how I could be braggart XD. :)

Also that'll sound pretty weird, but I agree with you. It depends if I'm pretty motivated. :P so: THC98 (His TAS were awesome for a new TASer :O) Got4n

I want to throw in my hat for keylie, who made a TAS for two of my favourite games on very hard to TAS platform (Hourglass) this year (Braid and Super Meat Boy). Unfortunately the Super Meat Boy TAS is unpublishable here due to technical issues (random desyncs mean he had to make a segmented video that looked as close to a smooth run as possible) Also: MrWint, for approaching pokemon blue TASes with insane programmatic perfection and excellent glitch disassembly and analysis. £e Nécroyeur, for taking games no one else would even think of taking seriously and milking them for every movement tech possible.
My Chiptune music, made in Famitracker: http://soundcloud.com/patashu My twitch. I stream mostly shmups & rhythm games http://twitch.tv/patashu My youtube, again shmups and rhythm games and misc stuff: http://youtube.com/user/patashu

Andihoffi and McHazard for both going into games believed very optimized and knocking off significant times. THC98 for producing not one but two good 3D Sonic TASes.
